The success of Gibbon Bridge would not be possible without the hard work, dedication and loyalty of "The Team". Many employees have worked at Gibbon Bridge since the very first day - Philip Holland and Susan McGill. The longest serving title though must be awarded to Robert Lowe; the Head Gardener who worked for Janet as a general handyman even before the Hotel began.
We are delighted to say that a grand total of a further five employees have been employed for over ten years. A perfect balance of individual personalities, different skills, experience and professionalism brings about successful teamwork, which ensures that each guest has a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable stay.

This place is set in a beautiful location! The views are stunning! If you are wanting somewhere, in the middle of nowhere, this is the place for you. There are lovely little touches in the rooms and they're a really good size. The staff are very warm and welcoming. We were there for a wedding and the venue was perfect! Loads of parking, typical hotel prices for drinks and the food is lovely too! What more could you want!?! xx

Absolutely wonderful place. Went for a wedding there recently and was surprised with what a lovely place it is that's been hiding away local to me all these years. Lots of really lovely sections, nice open fires. Went for a walk around the gardens too which although are left this time of year I can imagine how lovely it'd be in the summer. There were all these garden rooms which looked great to entertain in in summer. The room was superb. Super-king bed which was really comfy. Nice towels Etc. I can't fault the place

Needed a last minute hotel for a wedding and found Gibbon Bridge. Stumbled across accidentally but already planning a return trip. A beautiful hotel set in rolling countryside, we had a very relaxing stay in front of the open fires. Exceptional service from the staff left us with a feeling of being very well looked after.

What a gem of a place this is. We had the pleasure of staying here on Sunday evening to check out a local wedding venue for business. We stayed and had dinner. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely and attentive. We are photographing a wedding there next year, what a beautiful venue. Grounds are stunning with lots of photo opportunities. Will definitely be staying there again. We met the owner who was lovely. What a fabulous place. Highly recommended. Mr and Mrs Brown

Stopped here for a buffet lunch with a group at the end of our (18 cars) car tour. We had booked to use the outside space but the rain was biblical. The hotel very kindly moved us into a lovely room (usually used for wedding receptions) over looking the garden. The buffet was plentiful, fresh and delicious. Our thanks to all the staff. 5*

One of my favourite places for a special lunch. Set close to Chipping in the heart of the Lancashire countryside, Gibbon Bridge is a delightful hotel and restaurant. On a summer's day, sit in the lovely gardens and admire the views of Longridge Fell. On a winters day, relax by the log fire and enjoy delicious food and excellent service. Or take afternoon tea in the new Orangery.
The lunches are excellent value for money - 2 courses about 15. Try the twice baked cheese souffle served with tomato slices, a drizzle of basil oil and crispy basil leaves. Scrumptious! When in season, the game pie is a real winner. The sauces are always delicious. And the portions are not of tiny 'nouvelle cuisine' or 'fine dining' dimensions. Clean, crisp linen, luxurious loos, good wines, gorgeous coffee. Can't wait to go again!

We live on an enchanting island. Fresh, green countryside and forests adorn our lanscape. Sure it rains but I wouldn't rather be anywhere else than peering out from a cottage in the countryside with midsummer sunshine bathing the green hills. Gibbon Bridge captures the essence of the British countryside. It truly is a hidden treasure to be cherished by those in the know and yelpers of course.
Modern technology will eventually mean there is no such thing as a hidden treasure. But hey. we really are a long way off yet. So why not cherish the tranquility! Extremely popular for weddings and understandably so. Nestled in the heart of a Lancashire sits the well kept secret for many that is the Forest of Bowland. This really is an unspoilt delightful spot this, with its rolling pastures, working farmland, natural habitats and dense forestry you could almost be whisked away in your imagination to frodoland.
My mother loves all things garden related and as words miserably fail to describe how much I love her, my pet hate has become my pet passion. I think back to my pet hate time and think what the fuss was about. I may not be an avid gardner yet but I am getting there. When you see a location such as this, you really start to appreciate the old lady's passion. Gibbon Bridge has 23 acres of award winning gardens which are overlooked by their restaurant and and if you're lucky enough to be housed in one, some of their bedrooms.
On top of that they have a kitchen garden that supplies our chefs with some of the freshest fruit, herbs and vegetables available. Garden of Eden it is not but boy oh boy are they amazing. Without doubt one of the hotel's finest assets. Another one which sneaks under the radar is a bakery, yes a bakery! Not many hotels have their own bakeries do they, eh?
Well this one does and the stuff is soo good that they supply the hotel and restaurant as well as local business', who all appreciate the inhouse secret recipies. Yummy yummy throw me my baked dummy! An absolute delight this hotel is. Don't let the fact it is near Preston put you off, if you want to try something different, a romantic week-end away of some sort this is a great location.
The most exciting thing is I am sure there are lots more gems like these dotted all around our lovely land just like this one I found. Alicia Keys recently asked me if I ever tried sleeping with a broken heart. If I ever did Alicia I'd want it to be here love, might mend a lot quicker!
