Had 3 rooms booked for weekend coming. Had 1/3 rooms cancelled less than 7days before and hotel wouldn't rectify help on situation. Had friends stay in last month and distress un comfort at hotel due to on going maintenance. Stayed there for just under 3 weeks, reasonably priced, the hotel has a bar but doesn't do evening meals, you can take food in and they will provide cutlery for you but you have to get rid of the rubbish which is fare enough, staff and owners very friendly, lovely breakfast, lovely big bed, tea and coffee making facilities. Took my own hairdryer as not one in the room. Shower cubicle not as big as ours but was ok, (we are used to a big walk in shower). Toiletries provided so that's always a bonus, we would definitely stay there again.

I'm not going to be overdramatising my review like some people do on here. But oh my goodness, what an appalling place to stay. I couldn't wait to leave. The room I stayed in was a double, but the cleanliness and condition of the room was disgraceful. The pillows and sheets were clean, but everything in the room was covered in a thick layer of dust.
We had to wipe down the surfaces and bed-board ourselves as we kept sneezing and coughing. I am not exactly sure what the cleaners are paid for at the Claremont. The bathroom was in a poor state of repair, with the shower tap being broken and the sink leaking as it looks to have been repaired with a piece off of a vacuum cleaner. The metal blinds were all bent and broken, again with a thick layer of dust.
The interior decor of the room was tatty and broken, with electrical outlets coming away from the wall on both sides of the bed. There was also what appeared to be some bodily fluid splashed across the back wall. There was also some unruly patrons, that put me off the place. There appears to be some less than favourable characters staying in the Claremont, which seem to think it's acceptable to play music from 20:00 until 04:00, making it difficult to sleep. Generally I would just avoid this place, especially given the price as it's only marginally cheaper than a chain hotel, such as Premier or Travel Lodge.

Very friendly and welcoming staff and the food was good. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The decor is dated and the carpets could be replaced as they appeared old. The extraction fan in the shower room was not working, there was a slight smell of damp which could be the result of the fan not working. The staff are great and very helpful and big bonus for the hotel.

Cannot think of a bad word to say! The host is super friendly, and really wants to make sure you have a good stay. The rooms are huge for the price and the TV was massive. The bathroom had both a shower and a bath. The breakfast was delicious, there's also cereal and yogurt etc. The breakfast staff/ cleaning staff are also super friendly and very sociable. You also have a massive lounge area with a vending machine that has drinks and snacks, which also is a brilliant price!
