From our location it would be easy to assume we're a country house hotel, but that wouldn't be entirely true. That said, strictly speaking, we're not a boutique hotel either. What we are though is a hideaway, designed to help our guests retreat, relax and indulge.Located in the heart of North Yorkshire in the traditional market town of Helmsley we welcome guests from all over the world who have come to get away from it all and sample our famous Yorkshire hospitality.Originally an old coaching inn, the hotel was rebuilt and renamed in 1855 by the Earl of Feversham on the site of an older hostelry.

Services
All of our packages and rates require a 150 non-refundable deposit to secure a reservation. For reservations with a value lower than 150 a full pre-payment will be taken. The reservation can be amended or cancelled up to seven days prior to arrival. In the event of a cancellation the full deposit amount will be retained.
We have collaborated with Hooting Owl Distillery to launch our very own, Feversham Arms Gin. The Feversham Arms Gin is inspired by the North Yorkshire countryside. Including an abundance of sloe berries, bay leaves grown at the hotel and birch tree sap inspired by the silver birch trees that surround the Feversham pool which adds a smoothness and oiliness to the gin.
Situated throughout the hotel, these suites offer a separate lounge area and large bathroom. Located in the spa wing of the hotel, some with a balcony and spacious bedroom, bathroom and lounge area. These suites are in a prime location on the poolside, some with a terrace and spacious bedroom, bathroom and lounge area.

Wow, what an experience! I hosted my birthday at The Verbena Spa and from start to finish our day was perfect. From the facilities to the outstanding service, this place has it all. Alice went out of her way to go above and beyond for us, so polite and kind and an asset to the spa. Beautiful treatments, beautiful food and the spa is very well kept, I am already planning my next visit. Thank you for helping us host a perfect day.

If you're looking for luxury, then look no further! The staff in the hotel and the spa are wonderful. The surroundings are out of this world, the treatments in the spa are divine, and the food, well, it's phenomenal! We will be back, and thank you for our little newly wed touch in our room. Had a great short stay for my birthday (a big one!). The spa facilities and treatment were excellent- warmed us up nicely on a very cold January day. The evening meal and breakfast were first class. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a big room, lovely and airy. However, fixtures and fittings in the room were very tired - definitely in need of refurbishment

Original room booked was too small and the team at reception couldn't have been more helpful. They were fantastic. We were moved to a beautiful suite with a view of the pool and we were delighted. We are returning guests and love the location so much as well as the hotel. Staff attentive and very keen to please the guests. A perfect location for a break before Christmas.

We stopped for 2 nights 06/12 and was left impressed with every aspect of our stay. Location - 30 second walk into the quaint market town square with plenty of retail stores, pubs and independent shops. Service - Staff are friendly, helpful and cannot do enough to make you feel comfortable. Spa - Very nice. Aromatherapy room wasn't very aromatic but there was plenty of other rooms to use.
The relaxation area was very peaceful. The pool looked very inviting. Rooms - We had room 25 and it was perfect for my wife & pet dog. The rooms were cleaned to an impeccable standard. Restaurant/Bar - The crown in the jewel of the place. The food and service is a remarkable standard. The Chef & Waiting staff deserve high praise for the excellent work they do. All in all; a very happy, relaxing stay and would highly recommend. I look forward to visiting again.

Highly recommend Rosie for a full body massage and facial. She was fantastic! I've had many treatments over the years including from my daughter who is also a therapist herself and I've always been abit bias but Rosie has knocked her off the top spot by far. I felt so relaxed afterwards and all my knots in my shoulders and back have been removed. Ill definitely be back!

We stayed for a mini moon for two nights in a pool side suite and couldn't have asked for more. The staff were attentive, the room was well equipped (although missing a fridge!), fantastic on site restaurant, excellent spa facilities and a pool courtyard area that made you feel like you were in the med. All round fantastic stay!
