Room was o.k. but was in urgent need of renovation. At 6am woken up by what seemed like a steam hammer, it appears extractor n kitchen is the culprit, let me tell, them it does not work, smell of cooking fat permeates throughout premises. Breakfast was a disaster. What their idea of a continental breakfast is still puzzles me. Butter was rancid, though [chef?] did change it. ONLY GETS 1 STAR, because it was not to far from my place of destination. WILL NOT STAYHERE AGAIN. WILL DEFINATELY ADVISE GIVE WIDE BERTH.

Great value, friendly and welcoming owner and staff, good size rooms with en-suites, very clean and warm, excellent housekeeping, very good breakfast served, fantastic Sunday carvery and great hot buffet served for parties, a nice little bar serving all kinds of ales aswell. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend this place if your looking for reasonable accommodation in the area, be it short term or long term like myself.
