Spend a night (or two) in one of 12 gorgeous rooms at Willington Hall, a boutique hotel in the heart of Cheshire. Uniquely decorated and designed with a specific layout to ensure comfort and relaxation, Willington Hall boasts gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape from most of the rooms, encouraging guests to take a moment to unwind and enjoy an escape to the countryside.
We don't like to blow our own trumpet (well, alright, we do), but Willington Hall has earned a bit of a reputation for fine dining with those who know their Cheshire restaurants. In our book, clean plates speak volumes. Our Gainsborough Restaurant (named after the Gainsborough painting of local land lawyer James Tomkinson, which hangs on the wall) is open to non-residents as well as the luckier ones staying with us. Its relaxed atmosphere and menu peppered with locally-sourced ingredients and dishes are firm favourites with our regulars.
From conferences with up to 200 guests, to an intimate meeting space for just a few delegates and everything in between, Willington Hall has meeting rooms available in a variety of sizes throughout the luxury country house hotel that suit all business needs. All six of Willington's conference and meeting rooms can be tailored to a specific layout depending on the nature of your gathering.

Very dated house need repairs, went for wedding but the messed up my twinroom booking ended up with double. Not very helpful as wouldn't change and charged me extra 40 than originally quoted. Grounds are pretty. The food is mediocre very thin on plate no veg. The breakfast was hot but again not large just ok apart from my egg which was undercooked. Drinks are very expensive ie 7 a pint.

A lovely hotel set in fabulous grounds with excellent views of the surrounding area. The whole experience was fabulous and the service from the staff in this family owned hotel was superb. During our stay the restaurant was very busy but the two staff (young lady & older gentleman) were very attentive and maintained a service with a genuine smile. The food (evening meal & breakfast) was also excellent. We loved our stay here (birthday treat) and would certainly return.

Just had the most perfect 60th Birthday celebration at Willington Hall. The food was great, presented beautifully. The Hall is a stunning building in such lovely grounds but best of all are the staff.each and every one of them. Attentive, informative and treated us so well. Can't recommend enough.wonderful

Beautiful venue and great staff. We have been here many times for lunch, dinner and also had our wedding here. The food is incredible and is always fresh and full of flavour. The grounds are lonely and the building is beautiful on the outside and inside. We had an amazing stay in the rooms on our wedding night, they have a lovely traditional and stately feel to them. If we could visit more we most certainly would. Highly recommended venue for any meal or event.

We've been to Willington Hall for meals many times over many years and look forward to a superior standard. This is reflected in the way they promote the Hall on their website and the prices charged. So the Gainsborough Restaurant, white linen, attentive service, a peaceful ambience and excellent food well presented etcetera is to be expected. What we got on 31st December for lunch was being directed to a wooden table in the small bar, a waiter who was clearly run off his feet, annoying background music (if it could be called that) and food, which though OK, wasn't really up to the standard I expected.
I'd be prepared to let this drop but after I sent them a short and polite email, detailing much as here above, they haven't even had the common good manners to reply. It's a good to fair place that used to be great, so it's genuinely so disappointing that the current management are letting things slip

If you are looking for corporate, immaculate, and characterless Willington Hall may not be for you. If however you are after a relaxed stay in a charming building full of character with exceptionally friendly staff serving beautiful food you have come to the right place. All of the staff, without exception, could not do enough for us and we slept soundly in comfortable beds with only the occasional sound of birds to be heard. I feel fully revitalised by my stay here and will be back in the future. Thank you to all the staff at Willington Hall who made us so welcome.
