The Victoria Inn

Poor isn't the word for our stay, we paid for a triple room where we was then expected to stay in 1 bed for 3 of us, the staff was very rude and didn't really care when we went down to speak to them. On our 3rd day the hotel took the payment out the bank for a second time and when told about it they didn't really try to do anything about it until called and told the police would be getting involved if we didn't get a refund.

The cups in our room was filthy with hairs and stains in as they hadn't been cleaned and the TV didn't work at all. I would really recommend not staying here at all I'd rather pay to stay in another hotel for that price, we considered leaving but had already paid to do activities in the day so didn't want to waste those tickets. All i can say is stay away from this hotel.

Disgraceful 'service', extremely rude and patronising staff with a 'I couldn't care aless attitude'.diabolical from start to end. I travel alot through work and would rate this as one of the worst. Definitely not worthy of one star but I couldn't leave a review without ticking at least one. Heed my advice, run for the hills and avoid at all costs!

Very kind staff and okay rooms. Very noisy though and considdering the price, it's rather overpriced if you sleep in the small beds.

Stayed in a refurbished room lovely decor very clean air conditioning on arrival was informed no window bit worried but was very happy with room very friendly staff comfortable bed great shower excellent location and very reasonable price xx

Not worth the 88. Very small. I couldn't even sit on the loo as it was to close to the wall. Only good thing is location and the short notice booking. Staff were polite and helpful

Clerk/managers are rude, arrogant and borderline racist in treatment of me and my non poc friend. Hotel was so cold that the clerk was sitting in the reception in a coat, incase you need an insight into the quality!

Very bad experience . We were relegated to a room under the stairs. The room was dirty under the bed with chips so we asked to have it cleaned the next day. When we got back only the fries had been cleaned, the room hadn't been made up, neither were the beds. The noise of renovations at 6:30 with no respect for the guests. Too bad because the location is convenient and the night staff nice, but we won't be back again.

Nice enough for what I believe was a cheap hotel room at the last minute. The bathroom was a bit dated but at least it had good free wifi and the reception was friendly. The actual room was pretty nice and the bed was comfortable and clean.

Wouldn't really recommend this place except as a last resort. While the bedroom had some space, the pillows are quite flat and the duvet isn't thick enough. Meanwhile, the heating is timed in winter which made me ill. When I went down to talk to the concierge about the heating, he was asleep with airpods in. Took me about 5 minutes to wake him up and even then he didn't rectify the issue.

The bathroom is just a tad bigger than an airplane toilet. The shower clogs up. The bathroom door opens against the bed, so you have to shuffle in. It wasn't the best experience at all.

Really comfort bed, heating was on so it was warm and cozy, beautiful balcony with a view, friendly and helpful staff, we left our luggage in the hotel before check-in and after check-out. The room was clean but the bathroom could be cleaner, the tv is not smart and there is no breakfast. I would stay in this hotel again.

I had a very good experience in this hotel. Good quality, beautiful rooms and friendly people that helps you with everything you need.

The worst hotel I have ever dealt with in my entire life! Took my payment, booked me into the incorrect date then refused to edit it, refund it or offer another day. Seriously poor service. Receptionist refused to put me through to the manager. Wouldn't give me the name his email or direct no. Kept saying she would get into trouble if she did so. Really?

Never had a company refuse for me to speak to a manager. Ever! Then promised me 3 times I'd get a call bk. Didnt. then promised a reply to my email. Again nothing and I booked 5 rooms for our charity event we have. So I explained it was a group booking for a non profit charity London event. Still nothing. AVOID THIS PLACE

Good staff, rooms are bit small but fair enough in London for that price. Free English breakfast included. We took double bedroom not so spacious but comfortable like a 2-star hotel.

Very dirty. Sink in the bathroom blocked. It's covid but looks like room wasn't cleaned before I came, bathroom door handle sticky, on toilet seat drops of urine. Curtains ant those stained. Beds are uncomfortable. Reception room and corridors well presented but the rest. no. Also no wife, couldn't connect.

Great location, near underground stations and a few good pubs. Rooms are tiny, bathroom is tiny, lift was supposedly not working, although it is part of the reason we booked the hotel to begin with. On our last day there, they allowed us to take the lift with our luggage from the 4th floor. I'm not sure why we couldn't have taken it the other 4 days we were there.

The older lady who works there is quite rude, she got frustrated with us when we asked why wifi wasn't working and became frustrated with other customers who were older and concerned about taking 4 flights of stairs with their luggage. The younger staff do their best to be helpful. Rooms aren't cleaned daily, the best they could do was new (small) towels each day.

Construction was happening at the hotel leaving saw dust everywhere and loud noises throughout the day. Overall great location, but would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone, for the money. Should have disclosed the construction and lift issues prior to arrival.

Wasn't impressed with the place. For where it is located you would expect a little bit more. On the outside it looks really nice and relatively up market, but get inside and it was like walking into the 70s. When I arrived, they only had one of the 2 rooms I had booked in their reservation system, staff had the audacity to suggest that I share a double room with my work colleague.

I explained that 2 rooms had been booked and paid for and that they accepted the reservation. They managed to find a second room but had to physically check it was empty first before we could have it. Lots of noise as there was a 1/2 inch gap under the door to the room. Could hear every conversation in the corridor. Bed was like sleeping on a wooden board with springs under it.

Shower was very small and you have to be as skinny as a twig to use it. Breakfast was awful, sausages, some beans was what they called a hot breakfast! The bread was that stale it was discoloured around the edges. I ended up waking out of breakfast in disgust and went to a Pret a Manger instead. Wasn't impressed with it and wasn't worth the 110 and wouldn't recommend it.
