A lovely cheerful greeting by the blokes in the bar area. A good menu catering for all tastes. Hubby had chicken stuffed with broccoli and stilton cheese with roasted new potatoes and veg and a cute little jug of a tasty gravy. Def recommend. I had fisherman's pie which even though a bit dry the taste was there so would also recommend. Drink wise, all the best locally produced beers and ciders were on offer along with Welsh spirits Our first visit but not our last

I had such a great stay at Tyn-Y-Coed. Dan, Gemma and Carol are already smashing it and putting their stamp on the place. Dan is full of energy and can't do enough to be helpful. Hearty food, good music played at just the right volume, comfy bed, great shower, friendly atmosphere. Everything you could want from an outdoorsy pub, I'll definitely be returning :

Called in on the off chance of getting a bite to eat while driving around Snowdonia and being unsuccessful elsewhere. They managed to get us on a table that was reserved for later on. I had lamb chops on a bed of leeks and creamy mash and it was delicious. My wife had a burger with extra mozzarella with chips and homemade coleslaw and she really enjoyed it. The cost with drinks was very reasonable. The staff were very friendly and attentive, all in all a thoroughly enjoyable meal.
