Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights. We was welcomed with lovely flowers, banners and balloons in my room as they went out there way to organise that for my partner for my birthday. The rooms are small and unique. Breakfast always on time we're we sat outside in the beautiful garden sun shining although we didn't see Tanya and Stuart so much with the covid-19 going on when we did see them they was warm and welcoming overall really nice people. Great stay!

Good location. The hosts are friendly and helpful, room as advertised and the breakfast was lovely. Only thing that bothered me was they turn off the heating at night and so the water wasn't warm either. I think it should be a choice what temperature you want in your room and be able to shower in the middle of the night if you please.

We came to this guest house with no idea about the room as on booking.com there was only one photo of the bed and nothing else. The room was a terrible cell themed tiny cold place. With very small windows. Looked like something out of a horror movie. I was extremely uncomfortable with the room and felt really bad all weekend and I took off 2 hanging decorations off the wall (Cross and handcuff) the next morning we went to the mountains and when we got back the owner lady came to me at the main door and started telling me we are not allowed to take off anything from the decoration.
I explained to her my feelings about the room and she told me "it's not gonna kill you" also in the room there were a bunch of candles all over the room and my husband lighted the caldle when we had our dinner in the room. The owner lady had a go on me for the candle and she was extremely rude telling me how long have we been in the UK that we don't know the law about candle in the room?
They never mentioned that candles are forbidden to light. She made me very uncomfortable and I told her we are leaving immediately after the way she treated me. She told me okay, leave. On the way we got in the car, they didn't even come and say anything to us. The whole experience was extremely uncomfortable and I almost forgot to mention that we never asked for the room to be cleaned when we went out for a walk but she came in anyway.
Really a horrible experience. We paid for 2 nights and ended up staying only one. She went very personal on me, asking how long we have been in this country that we don't know the law? When I said, its been 10 years in this country, she started to sarcastically laugh and said : 10 years and you don't know the law? That's a nice way to treat your paying guests! Well done!

Loved it, wonderful bed, delicious breakfast. Strongly recommended. Guest house with the story. Lovely owner. 8 months later I came back for another stay this time in different room. Tanya and Richard are caring owners with loads of good, positive energy. You have to stay there and surely you will come back. 6/5 stars

Just home from a wonderful stay at The Courthouse. Stayed in the Fingerprint Room, which was lovely and cosy (not large, but still plenty of room for a king size bed). Tanya and Richard couldn't have done more. Were there to celebrate both our wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday. He not only got a card from our hosts and was serenaded at breakfast, but also a birthday cake and we were presented with a bottle and flowers for our anniversary. Needed to leave early on our last day to get to an appointment (7.00 am) and they kindly provided a packed breakfast for us to take with us too. Will definitely top the list for future visits to the area.

We booked a short weekend away and this looked like the nicest place and very good value for what you get. We opted for the cell room. The bedroom is the actual old cell which is nice and cosy, you have a littke sofa area with a fire and coffee making items. On arrival you are greeted by one of the owners who are both an amazing couple. You get fresh coffee or tea on arrival and cake. Sooooo good.
Lovely fresh cooked breakfast each morning plus as much toast and coffee or tea plus cereal and yogs etc. There are only five rooms here so its quiet. Lovely views when you have your breakfast. Parking onsite for guests and very central too. A great stay.
