Absolute pack of lies from Sunnymeade in response to my review. Owner gave me attitude over the phone when I was accommodating as possible and called a couple of hours ahead not 1 as stated, and tried to appease a situation, by offering to cancel, just to be told his wife wasnt happy! Under no circumstances would I let my dog foul anywhere in a hotel!

That's just a blatant lie. In addition to saying a deep clean had to be done. If the latter is true, perhaps the owners would consider doing so prior to guests arrival! A below the belt response from a massively overrated b and b. The toilet was vile. Shower was awful. Reviews elsewhere have photos to prove how dirty this place is. This is a response to the fact that the sunnymeade is simply dirty. Having spoken with booking dot com regarding being reported and retaliation.

Certain things dont add up regarding repeated use of 'locally sourced' - if I was to buy cheap sausages at lidl in barnstaple, that's locally sourced! But individuals stating those exact words. Very strange and exceptional in various reviews! One could be forgiven that the Sunnymeade reviews arent always genuine, never mind honest, IN MY OPINION. Which was discussed on the phone to me.

If people are happy to pay for dust and dirt in a room, then each to their own! It seems if you dont leave a positive review of this place they really show their true colours. I left an honest and the response wasnt too pleasant. I'm not sure what the owners would want me to do, ask them to clean the room, change the sheets more than once in a week, thoroughly clean the bathroom prior to arrival.

Nothing could have been done whilst staying there. It would take a few days to clean properly I imagine. Lastly we spoke to more than one individual who didnt seem impressed with the place, one gentleman called us unlucky as we were booked up for a week, and he was only there a couple of nights. This was at the beginning of our stay! It's sad when owners cant take criticism and accept the fact that their guest house doesnt reach standards, just to be petty and say dogs fouled in a room.

It's also common knowledge that establishments resort to underhand tactics to bump up their rating, as I discussed with websites. Again, that's not just my opinion, agents are aware it occurs but nothing can be done. Of course I wouldnt be so crass as to state it happens anywhere i have stayed!

You often get advice from friends and acquaintances to visit a place, this place was one of them, the advice was friendly and warm welcominghosts, great quiet location for touring around the area, great food, clean and tidy rooms, a note of care taken with the little things. Chef comes out of the kitchen to chat with the guests (when time permits).

Nothing too much trouble, just to ask. A sense of family, within the guest house, mainly due to it being run by a family. I would recommend this guest house like the person who invited me to visit.

Stayed here last year on a last minute weekend break. The couple greeted us with such a warm and welcoming manner, nothing was too much trouble and helpful when asked about the area and places we could visit while there. We booked a twin room with en-suite which was beautifully clean and well equiped. Breakfast was delicious too, plenty to choose from. Parking on site, lovely well kept gardens. Will definitely go back next time we are up that way.

Tim & his wife were fantastic hosts. I had never stayed at a B&B before but this was a positive experience. Lovely people and very comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious and created with locally sourced ingredients. Would stay here again. Thank you both.

Beautiful guest house. Tim and Lisa are very welcoming and provided tea and biscuits on arrival. The room was ensuite (with a shower) and had a beautiful view from the window. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room. They have a large communal garden with sunbeds and a table. They have a communal fridge in the reception area where they leave bottles of water for guests.

The guests can also put their own food/drinks in the fridge. There is a good selection of breakfasts which were lovely. They have about 4 rooms which accommodate dogs, and several family rooms. There is a large lounge with plenty of seating, a large TV and other media appliances. We had a lovely time when we stayed there earlier in July. The nearby woolacombe beach is lovely, sandy with beach huts and lots of facilities.
