Lovely staff, lovely room Inc much appreciated fan as really was flaming June! Room was beautifully decorated and clean, ditto bathroom. Very dog friendly. Breakfast was fantastic, dog even got his own sausage although not sure if I should mention that because they'll all want one! Good base for exploring the area, short walk to beautiful sea views and lots to do. Really good value. My dog and I will be back! Highly recommend

Wasn't expecting too much from this hotel, as it was a last minute booking, but were presently surprised. The hotel offers so much more than we expected. We were greeted at the reception by Michael who was not only efficient in his duties but was extremely nice and helpful. Our room was a little on the small side but very clean, modern, well appointed, and had everything we needed for our one night stay.
Their evening menu looked good but I can't comment on its quality as we walked into the town center and dined out. We will be having breakfast in the morning so will update this review and let you know how it fared! Location is also good, only a 10 minute walk into the town center. As it stands I would definitely recommend this hotel. Update: The breakfast was great!

Stayed at the Carlton for 5 nights in April. Had a great time! Lovely hotel, Michael and his staff are friendly, helpful & super efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Although the room was on the small side it was spotlessly clean, had a very comfy bed & was equipped with drink making facilities, a fridge, hairdryer, iron & ironing board.literally everything you need.
The bed was very comfortable with nice crisp linen. Housekeeping come in every morning and tidy the bed, empty bins, replace bottles of water etc. I loved it there and will definitely stay again, can't recommend enough!

Recently stayed at the Carlton for 4 nights with a coach holiday. Michael & the team were very welcoming. All staff were very friendly helpful & supportive throughout the stay. The hotel decor & cleanliness was first class with tea /coffee facilities fridge safe & iron /iron board. Food was amazing with lovely homemade desserts. Will definitely return in the future.

We stayed here as we was visiting a wedding venue in the area. The service was outstanding from start to finish, Michael and his team were great and made us very welcome especially with our little sausage dog - We loved the fact it was a dog friendly hotel. The food was amazing and locally sourced which was great. We ordered room service a couple of times and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to family and friends for our wedding.

Hotel has been very tastefully re-furbished to a high standard. I would advise avoiding room 107. It was small with almost no storage space. The very short hanging rail in the wardrobe was too high to reach - we are five foot two and five foot six tall, not tall but not exactly midgets. Lots of people in our group would not have been able to reach it either.
When we mentioned about the complete lack of storage it was explained there were two small storage drawers under the bed which we would never have seen as they were covered by bedclothes. The whole hotel was clean and the young staff were friendly and good but there is a lack of any system in delivering meals to a group. All in our group complained about the very dim lighting in the Brasserie. Just needs a few tweeks to make this a much better experience.

Sunday Lunch at The Carlton Hotel, to finish off a girlie weekend away! We didn't stay at the hotel, we rented a large house nearby. I came across the Carlton after some google searching, I contacted the hotel straight away to see if they could accommodate our large group for Sunday Lunch before we travelled home. They couldn't of been more helpful, even sharing some local knowledge with me to help organise other elements of our weekend.
On arrival for Sunday lunch we were greeted by extremely friendly & helpful staff, the hotel was fresh and modern and the food was delicious. I couldn't recommend this place enough after our extremely positive experience. A special mention to Elliot for his organisation and help, and to Dawn for looking after us ladies so well on the day. If I'm back in the area, I would certainly come and stay with you guys. Thanks for a lovely afternoon.

The owner, Micheal, was so lovely and friendly. As soon as we arrived he upgraded our room and it was incredible, so spacious, stylish and a lovely modern bathroom. The hotel is in a great location for you to walk to everything but the food is that amazing that you won't want to eat out elsewhere. The staff were so pleasant and polite, nothing was too much trouble for them.
We were even treated to a bottle of prosecco because it was our wedding anniversary! It felt like we were royalty! I cannot believe that this hotel is only a 2 star, it definitely deserves 5 stars and we cannot wait to return!
