The medieval city of Norwich with its Castle and Cathedral is 25 miles away with the Norfolk Broads, North Norfolk Coast, Gt Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Cambridge, King's Lynn, Ipswich, Colchester, Sudbury, Lavenham & Constable Country all around an hour's drive away. There is a village shop in Bressingham and the market town of Diss, with its mix of small independent stores, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets is 10 minutes away by car. The Inter-City railway station offers travel from London in about 90 minutes.
If you are coming from the A140 or Diss, take the A1066 westwards (towards Thetford) through Bressingham, past the church on the left and The Chequers on the right. Shortly after this there is a very small cross-roads. Turn right into Halford Lane and follow it to a T junction at the other end. Turn left into Wilney Green and Inglewood House is the second house on the left, after Walnut Tree Farm. If you are coming from the M11, A11 or Thetford, take the A1066 eastwards (towards Diss) as far as South Lopham.
This is an excellent B & B. We were given a warm welcome with tea & cake. The house was really well appointed in a very peaceful area - suited us well. The hosts - David & Gillian - were very friendly and after a very good night's sleep in a comfortable room, we were served a delicious breakfast with local ingredients.
