Our Guest House has a fantastic central location only a moment from the Pier, City and Conference Centre. At the end of road, just a few steps, is Brighton seafront. Many of the rooms have direct sea views across the garden square. We welcome guests from across the world and from just around the corner.
One of the friendliest Guest Houses in Brighton, we offer great value and very comfortable rooms. All our rooms have multi channel, free-view, flat screen TV's, free WiFi and tea/coffee making facilities and some have fantastic sea views across the square and beyond. All rooms are non-smoking. All of our fully en-suite Twin and Double rooms have King size beds and the twins are full size singles, they all have their own bathroom with shower (or bath with shower over) a toilet and washbasin. Some of our Sea View Doubles are large enough for an extra bed to be made up on request (extra charge applies), we also have a Sea View room that can sleep up to four people in a Double, Single and Trundle bed.
Strawberry Fields is located just off Brighton seafront at 6-7 New Steine, Brighton, BN2 1PB. Our cosy seafront Brighton Guest House is just steps away from the profusion of gourmet restaurants, exciting nightlife and abundance of culture. Brighton defies comparison with any other seaside city in the UK.
The rooms are all located at the top of the hotel effectively giving you your own private area. We call it the Fruity Suite. The picture above and on the right show the landing area where you can put drinks and nibbles. We regularly have hen parties staying with us, so can give you some good tips on hen-friendly restaurants, nightclubs and things to do.

After a terrible experience with a different hotel Anders (?) at Strawberry Fields was a lifesaver. Nothing too special there but the hotel and room were clean, comfortable and had enough space. Staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable.

Very very poor service, when we have entered the room there is no AC or not even a fan in the room. Considering how hot it is. Windows are fully jammed we had to call someone to open the window they said we can only open 1 due to child safety. Disgusted with the service received. Smallest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel

The rooms are very tiny and you can barely walk inside. But the location is quite nice right next to the sea and everything is easily accessible.

They saved my weekend! They found a room for me at the very last minute (long weekend and hard to find anything) as I had previously booked nextdoor (Oyo Gulliver's) but this place was so dirty that I couldn't stay. I went to Strawberry's, the staff was sooo nice, really cared about my problem, showed me 2 rooms so I could choose. Hotel is clean, quiet and central. Someone's present or reachable 24/7 in case you need something. Good staff, nice and cosy room with sea view, bed very comfortable, Thanks for everything! I know where to Book in central Brighton now and I will recommend!

The room was sunny with a great view of the shore. It was very clean and adequately appointed. My only complaint was an extremely mushy mattress that was worn out long ago.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Brighton. Pretty room and a good sized bathroom. Very cheap and I especially like that you get a front door key so you can come and go as you please.

Nice enough place and well within a budget. However, if you have a young family I would certainly not recommend this place. We were unfortunate enough to get the supposed family room on the ground floor, next to the main entrance. Stayed for two nights, each night I was woken up approximately six times, with drunk people coming in and out and the door slamming.

It was incredibly hard for the children to get any sleep. Staff were really nice, and were quite sympathetic about the problem when I raised it with them, though it is clearly an ongoing issue. There is also no breakfast. Though the location is excellent for cafes and bars, hence the late night noise and near the town centre.

Good if you're on a budget! This bed only guest house is great for tight pockets, however, you do get what you pay for! Positives: friendly and helpful staff. Clean, quiet and good location. Negatives: toilet was down a corridor and a flight of stairs, not very convenient, and the flush didn't always work - something you don't want with a shared facility!

The shower was temperamental at best and felt like you were standing under a guttering overflow. It was impossible to wash yourself effectively as it was mainly dripping down the walls. The water was hot, but I had to try and catch it in my hands! Bonuses: comfy bed, good selection of TV channels and a kettle with plenty of supplies to make a drink. Free WiFi that was decent and complimentary toiletries is always a nice touch. I would return, but I'd pick a different room with a better shower and onw with a toilet.

We went out in Brighton and missed our train home, so we were looking for a hotel in the middle of the night. I'm really glad we came across Strawberry Fields: the receptionist was friendly and efficient, room - surprisingly spacious and clean (and we didn't even realize it had a sea view until morning :D ), and the bed was nice and comfy. For 75, you really can't ask for more.

We stayed at Strawberry Fields for one night. When checking in the staff were friendly and ran through all needed information with us. The room was clean and tidy and matches the websites pictures, we liked the added touches for decoration. Multiple plug sockets and working WIFI is always a bonus. Only reason its 3 stars is because you get what you pay for, even though the room was lovely it just needs a bit of updating ( see picture with hole in carpet and scratched wall) No big deal really as it didn't affect the stay.

Overall I would recommended if you want somewhere to stay for a night or two while visiting Brighton, as it is in a great location and you get a key for hotel front door so you can come and go as you please.

Good rooms, clean bathrooms, 3 minutes from beach. Good value for money, but book in advance. Andrus was very helpful with information we needed to know!

We stayed in a twin room with en suite and found it very clean and comfortable. Plenty of storage and tea/coffee/toiletries were also provided. There was no housekeeping during our 3 night stay but we were advised we could contact reception at any time if we needed anything changing. There are no breakfast facilities but there are so many nearby cafes that we didn't find this a problem. Mons Cafe was particularly nice.

We marked down one star because of the noise. This isn't the fault of the b&b as Brighton is a noisy place, but our double glazing (in a room at the back of the hotel) was old and really needed replacing. There appears to be work being undertaken at the moment so if this is on the list then The venetian blinds also let in lots of light and it would be great if these could be updated to the wooden shutter style blinds at the front of the hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A gorgeous bed (no breakfast) within walking distance of Brighton town centre. The staff were lovely and friendly and very accommodating of any questions or needs my group had. The rooms are a little small but for what you pay for, they do exactly what you need! I would highly recommend this little hotel to anyone in need of a room in Brighton without spending a fortune. Will definitely book here again when I'm in Brighton in the future! Thank you Strawberry Fields team!

First of all only beds no breakfast option so google should update the hotel category listing Good 1. Best location 2. Best place for families with young kids 3. Lots of shops, supermarket nearby, everything you will get from there 4. Very clean rooms 5. Staffs were good 6. Very comfortable beds, really relaxed / Sound sleep. Big shout out for that 7.

Many indian restaurants and food options near by 8. Paying 25 extra one can check-in at 12:00 pm which helped us a lot to plan our trip properly. 9. Clean towels/ Bed sheets they maintain hygiene pretty well. 10. Manager requested us to be 'Mask on' which we really respect as they were also following the same Observations 1. Communication was lagging, even if we had paid for early check in, we been questioned twice 2.

Bathroom was small (with all positive this can be ignored) 3. Promoting sea view rooms, is not correct, we got only a patch of sea from window. Should not qualify that criteria. (Again, we ignored that) 4. Instead of Daily housekeeping ( as listed as service available), one need to request daily ( this could be improved) Will go again and will recommend others
