Strangford Arms Hotel

Overall a very nice hotel. Bit of confusion around booking, their site asked for a time of arrival and this was taken as a check-in time, so instead of 11AM it was actually 3PM before we could check-in. The room itself was nice enough and actually the bed was one of the best I've ever slept in! The breakfast wasn't bad for being included, but wouldn't have spent money on it.

All the staff were excellent, polite and very attentive despite the restaurant being busy. Rooms although not very big had everything you could need. Food first class and served with a smile, special mention to Paul and Darren who were always available for a story.

Stayed on sat 7th May 13 girls! An wow wat a night we had meal was beautiful the staff are all amazing at wat they do nothing is to much trouble the lady trainee manager ( didn't catch her name ) was lovely polite an always there to help darren the manager is fantastic at his job nothing was an issue an the craic with him is 100 he's a great guy If u haven't tried the strangford arms then u need to!

Meals were lovely and the staff very attentive. We ate in the library room, a favourite dining area for us. Thank you to everyone.

I absolutely love the food here! I've been several times, with friends and it never disappoints! Staff are great here too. Definitely a must, if you're eating out in Ards.

Nice hotel. Nice food. Nice staff. I didn't like their dual pricing system. My bill showed twice on my bank account for over a week, causing a block on my credit card.

We were put at table 3 we asked to move to another table as it wasn't busy. We were told no we had to stay there. A single man came in and was seated at a corner table which seats 6. We then lodged a complaint and eventually we were moved. We just feel we could have been treated better as we are regulars.

Call on Sunday afternoon for a quick bit of lunch, it's been quite a while from I've been in the hotel. Well I had forgotten how good it could be young lady sat us and explained the specials she took our drink order ( incase your wondering we both were on soft drinks) after a short wait the manager came over to take the order, we asked a few questions about the specials have to say she was very knowledgable so opted for 1 of each special 1 Turkey Ham and all the trimmings and the second was Roast Ham.

We were not disappointed the Ham roast was outstanding and my partner really enjoyed his turkeys the same manager check on us to see if we we enjoying our meal. I passed on my compliments on how good the food was. Faye the young waitress cleared our table very pleasant indeed, I asked for the mangers name and she confirmed that her name was Madeline.

The hotel was very busy it seemed to have a couple of different areas open, plenty of space between table so definitely keep the social distance aspect. Brilliant meal with first class service from Madeline and her staff praise were praise is due. Well done

Just been for lunch. The waiting staff were excellent. All very Covid friendly. Plenty of space between tables and cleanliness was second to none. When the food arrived we were not disappointed. Good big portions and so tasty. Definitely good value for money and plenty of choice. Would very highly recommend. We will most definitely be back soon. Thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon.

Stayed in self catering house, adjacent to the hotel. Staff member was very nice who brought us to the house and she kindly brought us over some coffee, tea and milk. Downstairs was freezing. I had to keep my coat on. Bedrooms were clean, warm and comfortable. We reserved for breakfast for 9.15am. We were asked to wait at reception on arrival. We had to leave without breakfast at 9.45 as we couldn't wait any longer. We were very disappointed.
