Food was delicious, lovely part of Goudhurst with beautiful views across the church when sitting outside. Staff were amazing, polite and very accommodating to my indecisive other half! Not much parking though but I'm sure if we had needed to we would have found somewhere.

Held up in traffic at corner by church when a large lorry and a cement mixer lorry blocked the road. Neither would reverse inorder for traffic to move. Shouldn't be allowed. No large lorries go through Goudhurst.

We had dinner here on Saturday for my hen party (24 people) and everything from start to finish was amazing. A beautiful find, the food was excellent and the team and Lizzie were so accommodating from the moment I enquired with them. We even went back for Sunday lunch the next day. Would highly recommend eating here! Thank you!

Absolutely stunning. We were guests at a wedding and were lucky enough to have a room too! Couldn't fault it, the food was piping hot even though 30 odd orders came out at the same time. I had the chicken which was delicious and similarly everyone around me said the Beef Wellington was the best they'd had. All 3 courses were just perfect. The staff couldn't do more for us, all so friendly and all went the extra mile.

Our bedroom was on point, the only downside was the little UHT milks (purely because I dislike them!) - which you would expect anyway. Thank you so much for making our friends day so special, as well as for the rest of us too!

Beautiful old pub in a fantastic setting, Sunday lunch on white tablecloth with attentive staff and delicious very well presented food. Good real ale, what is not to like.

I came to this beautiful old 14th century Tudor timbered hotel for lunch and my party were met by a very charming waiter. He could not have done more to make us comfortable and welcome, he was highly courteous and professional and the staff were very efficient. Our food was perfectly cooked and chosen from a good sized and varied menu. The ambience and decor of the restaurant is very pleasing and relaxing. Bearing in mind the quality of the food, service and general experience of this place I would say it is well worth a visit and the prices were fair.

Called without prior booking for lunch Food was very tasty, well cooked, well presented, good size portions, nice and hot. Staff were attentive. However, it was very, very expensive. Goudhurst is a lovely village with very nice views and there is plenty to do in the area for people of all ages
