Really loved my one night stay here. Reception staff so friendly. Rooms very clean, bed super comfy with crisp sheets and nice towels. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and a kettle all provided. It's an old hotel but I liked the character of the place. Breakfast is superb, cooked to perfection. Lovely ingredients, served beautifully with a rack of toast. Will return!

Absolutely loved the place. Have to give a shout out and compliment to Andrew who was amazing and suggested a place for dinner and we had an amazing time at the old opera house. He provided us with a town map and showed us places to visit. Thanks you so very much Andrew

Great victorian style hotel, stayed here for one night after seeing the coldplace concert at the trinity theartre, The architecture of the hotel looks very very grandiose. They have a bar and a restauraunt in the hotel. The rooms are very nice and spacious and cleaned well. The breakfast room was also nice. Bang on convenient location for the theartre.the map they give us when you come in is very informative as it has a map of the city centre so you can navigate round it easilly which i think is very good.will reccomend this hotel to anyone

Staff friendly and welcoming. Sheets clean and bathroom cleanliness passable. Bathroom needs refurbishment with bath chipped badly and needs replacing. Decor Very down at heel with carpet frayed in room 46 with possible trip hazard. Weeks of dust on skirting board by bathroom door. Curtains poorly hung and paintwork chipped in bedroom and public areas. Tariff Overpriced for condition of property. No problems with service or staff attitude though

Old, tired, run down, bar closed, no lifts which isn't great if you're on the top floor. But the staff were lovely.

Don't ever try to book this Hotel if you don't like climbing stairs Upper rooms are 60 to 80 steps, pathetic place, beddings were smelly, no hot water kettle in the room I was given, absolute awful.

Dated in some ways, modern where needed, I loved my 2 day stay here. Ppl depend on their livelihoods for good reviews so I only review places I would like to visit again. Set in a delightful location across the road from a climbing parkland and in the quiet centre of a polite town who cares if the staff don't seek eye contact? They do their job well.

Other than location, there is nothing to warm to about this hotel. I stayed here in August 2021. It was 90 for the night which included breakfast. This hotel is very very dated, it has the warmth of an icicle. The one member of staff I saw yesterday was pleasant enough. The lady today was unwelcoming to say the least I have to say, the room is large, that is a positive.

The key I was given was only just shorter than the bed (photo to explain). I am 5'8'' / 172cm. My feet were hanging off the bed. The mattress was so spongy it was comical. I did fall asleep however but was woken at 1:30am by a very loud man banging at my door. I did my best rough sounding voice to try and deter him. He shouted something then went away only to return 5 minutes later and shouted something else.

He then did leave. I had a shower in the morning, the only stuff to clean hair / body was the smallest sachet of shower gel, just the one. This is a Victorian large house that is very very tired. It feels as if it's closing. Breakfast was ok

2 star hotel with a feeling of a probation hostel. Decor badly in need of updating. The nostalgic aromas of tobacco and weed wafted throughout the once elegant stairways. Stained Carpets and doors that had previously been punched now bore the scars due to poor repairs. Bedding was clean and breakfast was pretty decent. Won't be back, sadly.

Recently stayed there and was very impressed. Well above a two star hotel. Excellent value in very good position in the centre of Tunbridge Wells. Good clean and well maintained. The staff are very nice and helpful and there is an obvious pride in running a nice and good and honest hotel. I'd very happily stay there again. P.S. the cooked breakfast is also very good.

For a budget hotel, I loved being here, I spent 5 days in the Annex room, which includes a small kitchen area with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and sink. Perfect to rustle up a bit of food when you're sick of eating out. Yes the decor is stuck in the 80's, but I found it quite nostalgic and comforting in a way, it was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were so helpful and friendly, I would definitely stay here again!
