Nestled in the heart of the South Downs, Springwells offers an excellent location from which to explore Sussex. Steyning is a thriving village, with lots happening all year round. As we are situated on the High Street, Springwells is very close to great places to eat, drink, relax, and wander around. Our bedroom was one of the finest we have ever stayed in anywhere, with a most comfortable bed. The building is beautifully renovated and decorated.

A fabulous privately run guest house, beautiful room, very comfortable bed, small but great shower room. Single glazed windows (listed building?) meant more noise intrusion which had me waking with the dawn chorus. The owner, Liz, is wonderful and full of local knowledge and great advice. We'll be back again in July.

Lovely property with well kept gardens and a good size swimming pool. Snooker table, licensed bar, all a short walk from various pubs and cafes. Superb walking trails all around the town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommended.

Probably the loveliest garden setting for eating out in Steyning. Quiet and peaceful with plenty of shade. Lunch options include a variety of salads, sandwiches and other light dishes, plus indulgent sundaes to compensate for the healthy lunch.

I agree with other reviewers here - we went for a light lunch and I think, because of the beautiful setting, gorgeous garden, extraordinary and friendly service, we over-indulged and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Now a new favourite of mine! Thank you!

Very welcoming and comfortable stay. Fresh and airy room. Wonderful breakfast. Great outdoor pool - remember your swim suit! Large bath. Chilled water and fresh milk in mini bar. Safe in room. Cannot fault the place!

Good room but Wi-Fi with double encryption that the staff admit frequently does not allow non-apple devices to login is just not good enough in area with poor mobile signal. Friendly and helpful staff and good bath products.

A truly lovely place - and the complimentary glass of Prosecco at check-in was a nice touch! Our room had been recently renovated, with an amazing bathroom! One of the nicest I've seen anywhere. The ladies on reception and breakfast were very pleasant. We had amazing porridge for breakfast, with beautiful views through the conservatory to the gardens. You will want to stay here!

Outstanding cosy find, beautiful collection of mature flowered gardens and sitting areas with pool set in one of them, games room to while away hours; and the breakfast is outstanding esp the scrambled eggs, the super tasty mushrooms and the porridge.complete with a cream and whiskey twist!
