River House Hotel

Had a couple of days spent at Matlham in River House B/ B. Alex an Ann were fantastic hosts. The room was very clean.tea and coffee on hand and homemade biscuits to, delicious. We will be going back again. Beautiful area for lots of walks to.

Beautiful House in a stunning location. Room was warm and comfy. Breakfast amazing. Tea, Coffee and homemade treats everyday. Anne and Alex couldn't do enough. Definitely the best around. Didn't use the lounge/bar but it looked very welcoming after a day walking. Chickens are friendly and produced lovely eggs. Hoping too visit again next year.

Lovely stay at River House, Malham. The breakfasts were amazing, so much choice and so well run. In our rooms we had tea and fresh coffee with cafetiere and fresh milk which was so nice first thing! Plus, each day, little home-made treats were left for us for afternoon tea, was perfect.

Thank you Ann and Alex for making our two night stay perfect. After the "big stay in" it was so nice to get away, we are so glad we chose this B&B. Clean and comfortable, a friendly welcome and amazing breakfasts! This place is perfect as the start of one of our walk starts opposite the B&B. We would recommend this place as a perfect stop, oh and theres a pub next door that sells good food.

I'm not normally a fan of B&Bs but this one is fantastic! Extremely friendly proprietors, excellent location, Comfy beds and delicious food!

Lovely friendly hosts, nice breakfast with plenty of choice including local marmalades and honey. Clean and comfortable with lots of extra added thoughtful touches, such as homemade bakes in your room and suncream at the door, not to mention the honesty bar! Great location for walkers and the pub next door also recommended for an evening meal. Would recommend and would return.

The owners were amazing very friendly and couldn't do enough for us, the room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was very filling we would definitely book again and would like to say thank you to ann for the amazing cookies and flapjack xxx

We booked to stay at River House for Saturday and then hike on Sunday. Riverhouse is undoubtedly a gem. Room was super clean and lovely decorated! the welcoming owner was very friendly. it does feel like home! nice living room area with big real log fire area. The breakfast was also super(English Breakfast + continental selection) tasty and great quality. we felt so welcomed and comfortable.

I would visit again and again. it is next to a lovely scenic setting in the heart of Malham next to the soothing sounds of a river stream. Highly recommended. Choose without second thoughts! THank you again for your hospitality

This was our second visit this year and the stay was excellent again. Room was clean and tidy and very comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent again and plenty to choose from. Lots of great walks right on the doorstep so no need to drive anywhere. Great pub right next door. I would highly recommend a stay here if visiting Malham and the surrounding area.

The weather always helps, but when arriving at the Riverhouse after a long day's walk I had the feeling that the sun is always shining here. Our host was very welcoming and showed us to an exquisite room overlooking the village smithy and the river. Old houses have their nooks and crannies and so does this one. There is a little sitting room downstairs and also a lounge sofa area by the bar, that has a nice selection of wines.

The breakfast was fantastic and one of the contributing chicks looked in at us through a little window while we were eating our traditional Yorkshire fry-up, while the neighbouring table enjoyed their Eggs Benedict and salmon. Our hosts were very forthcoming when arranging packed lunch for us (At a very reasonable extra cost) and offered a great choice of sandwich fillers. We had an absolutely fantastic stay, and I hope to be able to return one day!

My wife and I stayed here for my Birthday weekend. We had a fantastic time and I would definitely recommend to stay here. The hosts Anne and Alex were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, even to borrow an electic pump to inflate my tyre. The breakfast was gorgeous and there are a few different options as well. Thank you, we would definitely come back.
