Our bed and breakfast is conveniently located in Canterbury city centre opposite the imposing ruins of the ancient Norman castle. This attractive bed and breakfast guest house is steeped in history. The building itself dates back to the 1730s and as it incorporates part of the old city walls and the Roman Worthgate and the pretty walled garden at the front of the house was originally part of the castle moat. The house has been recently included on the route of the Canterbury City Walk.

A huge regret paying the price to stay in an outbuilding! We booked a family room at 160 for one night. We knew that it's Jubilee weekend and we were fully aware that the hotel is a historical building. However, we were so shocked when we were directed to our room which was an outbuilding of the hotel, right next to the gate, busy road and cars by other guests.
This is not a proper hotel room that any guest would expect at this price. I was not able to sleep the entire night as I didn't feel safe in an outbuilding like this. The breakfast was not great either. What a disappointment to offer continental breakfast only.
