Castle House Hotel Our bed and breakfast is conveniently located in Canterbury city centre opposite the imposing ruins of the ancient Norman castle. This attractive bed and breakfast guest house is steeped in history. The building itself dates back to the 1730s and as it incorporates part of the old city walls and the Roman Worthgate and the pretty walled garden at the front of the house was originally part of the castle moat. The house has been recently included on the route of the Canterbury City Walk.

A huge regret paying the price to stay in an outbuilding! We booked a family room at 160 for one night. We knew that it's Jubilee weekend and we were fully aware that the hotel is a historical building. However, we were so shocked when we were directed to our room which was an outbuilding of the hotel, right next to the gate, busy road and cars by other guests.

This is not a proper hotel room that any guest would expect at this price. I was not able to sleep the entire night as I didn't feel safe in an outbuilding like this. The breakfast was not great either. What a disappointment to offer continental breakfast only.

Great hotel in a wonderful location near everything you need to visit when in Canterbury. The room was very comfortable with good facilities and the staff very friendly. The price was good, my only gripe is I'm not a fan of continental breakfast.

What a lovely hotel (dating back to 1847). It even has a free carpark. So easy to walk into Central Canterbury. We had a most enjoyable stay.

Room was really cold, had to turn the radiator on. Does not specify the breakfast, bit disappointed that it was continental only. Nice and clean room

The room was nice and clean, the location is good and parking was available, but the breakfast was a very limited continental one with few fresh products and not nice coffee.

Nice clean rooms, great location and good service. Catalina was very considerate and helpful with any problems we had - and the rest of the staff were also very friendly and helpful.

This is a traditional family hotel not a modern chain hotel, and all the better for that. It's rooms may be odd shapes but lack for nothing. It has a large private car park, the breakfast is brilliant and all the staff we met were lovely. The city centre is an easy walk.
