Salutation Hotel

All the staff members were extremely helpful, welcoming, nice and lovely. The pool and outdoor Jacuzzi were so nice and relaxing. This hotel is the definition of a perfect management.

If like myself your looking for relaxing, tranquil, wind down from the stress of every day life, with absolutely stunning views, then look no further than this hotel. Special mention to all the staff at Salutation Hotel, you won't get better staff. The spa was always quiet, I was in spa every day I was there, very good. I can't say anything negative about this hotel, probs one of the best hotels and staff I've come across in very long time. 5 massive Stars

What a fabulous hotel! Second visit. a must if you are visiting the Lake District! Rooms are beyond fantastic, spotlessly clean, location perfect. Great bar, restaurant, spa, pool, hot tubs galore. What a gem!

*Just returned from this amazing hotel.* We booked two days here to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. Our room was absolutely amazing. It had sauna, steam room/shower and hot tub on the balcony. Every member of staff that we had the pleasure to speak were always so pleasant. Last but not least the food was fantastic. Will definitely return. X

We have just left after a long weekend stay and we are missing it already. What can I say, the accommodation is excellent, clean, tidy and spacious. The food and bar drinks were first class and the staff are outstanding. It is the 12 th hotel we have stayed in this year and without doubt the best. There is simply nothing to fault. A very welcoming and caring hotel. We opted for bed and breakfast, and the breakfast was lovely. The waiting staff were extremely attentive and went the extra mile. Amazing location, in the centre of ambleside with lots of walks easily accessible. Spa and swim were nice after a long walk. Room was clean and attended to daily. Couldn't of asked for anything more!

Just back from our first time at this hotel and cannot fault it. The staff are extremely efficient and friendly. The breakfast was delicious every day. We had a spa day and it was so relaxing with wonderful treatments, afternoon tea and loved the outside jacuzzi. Would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return again.

Love this place. Been many times now. Location is perfect. Staff are some of the best we have ever met. We stayed in a lodge club double this time, and it was perfect. Very clean and well presented. Can't recommend enough.

We stayed for two nights at the beginning of January. The hotel is one of the best we've stayed in. The staff are very attentive, professional, and friendly. We received a room with a hot tub on the balcony looking over Ambleside and in addition the spa facilities were great! Breakfast was included, again exceptional staff and lovely food (although breakfasts had been under the heat lamp for too long on both days resulting in cooked avocado. but still, can't drop from a 5 star review). Would definitely recommend to stay here.oh and parking was included!

We stayed here we friends for my birthday and had a fantastic stay. The breakfasts were the best we have ever had and the staff throughout the hotel were very professional and made you feel so welcome. This is a place you need to visit for a perfect break. Love coming back to this hotel. 5 star.

I had a lovely stay in the Salutation Ambleside The staff are really lovely, our room was fantastic with amazing views looking towards the Fairfield horseshoe from the twin room balcony, I loved the Spa too rebalancing massage was great. Thank you for a welcoming, friendly fabulous few days a well deserved treat for us

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Ambleside Salutation. Absolutely fantastic! This hotel is amazing and faultless throughout. The food, the rooms, the staff, the spa are all excellent. The location is also ideal for many central lake District walks. Cannot understand why the hotel is classified as 3 star? This hotel, in my opinion, is worth a 5 star rating. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to any lover of the Lake District.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Clean, comfortable room. Well equipped spa and leisure facilities. Slightly let down by the restaurant food not being of the best quality.

Excellent hotel, lovely & friendly staff, great spa & pool (+ outdoor jacuzzi pool, plus sauna & steam rooms), relaxed lounge/bar. Great breakfast, good evening restaurant. Perfect central location. Snug parking, but spaces available. Really would recommend.

From booking to when we left, the staff here were first class! Nothing was ever too much trouble. Our room was a little dated but work is going on there. A bottle of prosecco was waiting to celebrate our anniversary and hubbies 40th. The spa facilities were great and was an added bonus on wet days or after a walk. The hotel is in a great location and had plenty of secure parking. I would fully recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again!

Fantastic place. Lovely food. All the staff treated us like kings and Queens. Thank you to Manuel, Sonia, Megan and all other staff on reception, house keeping, chef, waiters and waitresses. Spa was brillant. We will be booking again. The owners have done a great Job. Cheers

Nice hotel. Good clean rooms. Good wheelchair access with a lift. Very friendly helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with great selection. Evening meal in the restaurant was nice but a little expensive. Ambleside is nice but not much there and the lake is a long walk, but that's not the hotels fault. Didn't us the spar.
