Please read some of the testimonials guests of Royal Oxford Hotel have left following their stay with us. Myself and my partner were kicked out of her parents house and made homeless very quickly. This hotel was a saviour. We also had a cat. Your staff were so lovely. They really made us feel welcome, the room was amazing.

With uk do not expect anything to go smoothly. Overpriced hotel room for such small city. Overpriced cafe and resturant. Not academic city of the world. Just minimal international students. I fell in a cafe nearby, I was lucky nothing happened because shop owner doesnot even care to make the entrance of cafe even. Dangerous roads with pot hole. I ve seen few people nearly fall because of that.
In cafe table are moving and hot drink can burn someone. The list goes on. Human life and safety does notl matter to them just money. Do yourself favor and go somewhere that worth spending money. The city would be goast town without students and tourist. The people are very kind welcoming. That s a highlight of this place. The city is so so calming.

Old fashioned hotel with small rooms and poor facilities and didn't give us the rooms they said they would so they had to book us another room at another hotel which split the group and ruined the weekend. Also did not want to cooperate when we complained about the service and charged us for 'noise damage' to pay back for the room they had to pay for because they messed up. Won't be going back here. The location was good though.

We didn't get any sleep because people next door came in at 3am and started banging on our door intentionally, running around, cursing and making a noise. It took the hotel staff an hour to sort this out. I felt unsafe and stressed out. The second half of the weekend was ruined, we ended up cancelling our plans and returning home early. I honestly didn't expect Royal Oxford to have guests like this. I believe this is what happens if you have a 24 hour reception, and customers can come in at any time at night.

Had a nice couple of nights at the Royal Oxford. Well positioned, about 10 mins walk from the action and right next door to the train station and major bus stops, inc park and ride. Room very pleasant as were the staff. Breakfast was included and OK, but for the price I expected a little more. Free coffee refills for sure! Despite this, I would still highly recommend.
Good value for money overall, considering you're in the middle of Oxford. We parked at the Seacourt Park and Ride which is about a mile away. Not worth the hassle of trying to take your car into Oxford. You can get the bus in, it's about a mile or so, or you could walk - it's not far.

Had a great stay at the Royal Oxford! The staff were awesome and very helpful. The rooms were ample and secure with an impressive bathroom. The location was perfect for exploring Oxford. We parked at the Seacourt carpark and took one of the regular park and ride buses right to the hotel door. Would definitely recommend, thank you!

Great location near to train station. Room was clean the bed was a bit hard. Nice selection of biscuits and fruit in the room, but did have to ask for more tea bags. Good selection for breakfast. Reception staff all very nice and helpful. We like to use the 'hop on hop off' bus and there was a stop just outside the hotel

Very well located near train station. Clean and comfy rooms with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. Good range of breakfast options and drinks. But what made it worth 5 stars is the staff, everyone very kind and helpful. Especially Sandra, the receptionist who goes above and beyond to make our stay agreeable, give us great advice on local amenities and has always a kind and welcoming attitude.

This hotel was an OK choice. My room was small and old (with sort-of-charming, sort-of-useless ancient windows) but in good condition. The bathroom was also very old but nice in its own way. Everything was quite clean. The location can't be beat, easy walk from the train, and you can walk or bus to anywhere in Oxford in short order. You have to leave your keys at the desk. kind of annoying. The walls are also pretty thin.

Very very nice hotel that is close to everything you would need in Oxford. Rooms were clean and well kept, breakfast from the restaurant downstairs was enjoyable and the beds were comfortable. The major downside is the old fashioned keys, to which you must give back when you leave the building. I don't like that policy.otherwise I will be staying again.

This is where lots of business people stay. It's not as luxurious as some of the other hotels in Oxford, but it's definitely got one of the best locations as it's really near the trains and bus stations and the town centre. It's open 24 hours and I think the reception staff speak quite a few languages (some definitely speak French, German, Italian and Spanish). There's Wifi and room service, so great for business travellers, but also useful for tourists who want to stay in a central location. Prices range from 130-150 for single to triple rooms including breakfast. They also have family rooms. If you're in a group, give them a call as I know people have managed to get group discounts before.
