Created by Jeremy Mogford in 1999, The Old Bank houses his personal collection of modern British art. Each bedroom features part of a complete collection of original sketches by Sir Stanley Spencer.

Beautiful hotel with exquisite service, on par with some of the finest hotels in the country. We had a lovely, upgraded room at no extra cost looking onto All Souls College. For the friendly staff here, nothing is too much trouble, the food is wonderful and the evening turn-down service was second to none with two staff renewing towels, checking stock, emptying bins and generally making sure that you want for nothing. Wouldn't hesitate to book again. Faultless stay. Thank you, Old Bank.

Nice atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, live piano - so nice! We were a fairly rowdy table of 9 but no one seemed to mind. I was disappointed in the size of my Bass at 21 but a word with the waiter and it was quickly sorted. Book a table after 6.30 pm then you can park on the single yellow line right outside!
