Very friendly staff, food good especially the breakfast. We stayed in standard room. It big enough with good shower room. Staff were helpful from reception, bar staff and restaurant staff. A special mention for Lauren in the restaurant she was always cheerful chatty and worked really hard. Thank you all for making our stay so welcoming.

The hotel is quite old but the rooms were nice and clean. The location is perfect. Something to say about the service: we made a reservation for dinner and bed and breakfast all included. When we were already sitting for dinner the waitresses came to say the dinner was not included. We showed them the email with the reservation details so at the end they let us stay but made us feeling a bit uncomfortable about the all thing. And the food was nothing special.

Situated opposite the main railway station and really close to the city centre. Cheery welcome and lovely helpful staff. Restricted parking just 6 spaces and due to COVID limited restaurant space and no breakfast. But plenty of pleasant cafes nearby.

Located literally just across the street from the train station, the Royal proved to be the perfect location for our sightseeing trip to Bath. The rooms were lovely and the service first rate. For now, we are they are unable to accommodate everyone for morning breakfast due to COVID, but Diana's and Cafe Au Lait are just across the street and both have outstanding breakfast selw tons, and easily accommodated my daughter's severe gluten allergy. When we return to Bath, we have we'll likely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Every single staff member was welcoming, helpful and so kind! The rooms were clean and very unique. I would stay here again for sure and would highly recommend it!

This review is purely for the staff. We popped in for a brief drink on a Saturday evening whist waiting for our train home. My father unfortunately lost his brand new phone. After a few phonecalls, we tracked it down to the Royal - the staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful, especially the lady in Front of House! Thank you so much once again, and it says wonders about the staff at the hotel. Our expectations of finding it were pretty low, and we are only locals that popped in briefly on one of the busiest nights of the week!

Love this hotel as ideally situated by the railway station and a discrete distance (few yards) from town centre. 3 star hotel reasonably priced. Rooms are a little small but very comfortable & v.clean with all mod cons. Room tariffs are also cheap. Like the welcome letter & sweets left on the bed plus the silver & gold key system (one for room and the other for main entrance). Food in restaurant is off v. high standard. This hotel has a sister one on the outskirts of Bath called the Old Mill nr. Bathampton.

Stayed in single room which was tiny but perfectly formed. The hotel is literally opposite the Railway station so very handy and not as noisy as you'd think. Right next to main bus routes, an internet cafe, and two miniutes walk from Roman Baths etc. Good breakfast, and the staff were about the most helpful friendly and funny I've ever met. Recommend it for budget stays when all you want to do is explore.
