Ramside Hall Hotel

We chose to go to Ramside Hall for my Grandmas birthday afternoon tea & we had a great time. The food was beautiful and the setting was stunning. We were sat by the restaurant window so we overlooked the gorgeous gardens & the atmosphere was wonderful as there were 4 weddings that day so plenty people watching :

We were at Hotel for wedding reception. Grounds were clean and tidy staff are friendly and welcoming. The do was in marquee. Drinks was reasonable price althought young man over charged me first time has when we got drinks again different staff serve me it was about 5 cheaper I asked why young man said reply cause you asked for Double. When I never I said drink didn't even taste like Double never mind single shot Pizzas slice was lovely.

I booked the cheapest room which was nice inside but very dirty, the dust in the room and the mould in the bathroom wasn't acceptable. I found the whole grounds to be pretty dirty, the touch surfaces had fingers prints all over them. For a nice hotel the hygiene levels need to be better. I wouldn't return here again I've stayed in cleaner Holiday inn's the price I payed shouldn't affect the hygiene between the non premium rooms and the premium rooms.

This could and would of been a lovely stay if the majority of the staff weren't so obnoxious and rude to the point I couldn't wait to check out. Had it just been the one member of staff I wouldn't be posting said review, reception staff, spa staff and restaurant staff were an absolute disgrace. I was really looking forward to staying here, but would of been better off in a Premier Inn.

I got a spa day and meal from here here as a gift and was impressed with the spa area. It is very relaxing and well done out. The food wasn't very impressive and if it wasn't a gift I would have been gutted paying their prices for what I got. If the food was ok, I would give a better rating but it seems like a ready meal that has a 1000% markup. It was well presented but even a small amount of seasoning would have made it a lot better

I had a voucher for my birthday for over night stay, spa treatment & meal i added an extra nights stay on. I left after the 1st night did not even stay for breakfast or had the spa treatments also a client had upgraded my room to a suit what was wasted it was so bad here. My voucher was mentioned 3 times in the restaurant? I thought it was just a trashy wedding venue waste of money couldn't wait to get out didn't even ask for a refund

Absolutely fantastic! We were very fortunate to stay in one of the treehouse s and it was superb! Would definitely recommend. Staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. Special mention to the restaurant manager Jean who is the consummate professional. An utter delight and we will be back!

Went for a spa break and had amazing customer service! They let us swap treatments for the infinity pool, and let us change our meals as we wanted a carvery instead of fusion. The spa was as lovely as ever!

This was a wedding anniversary gift for me and my husband in the rib room meal was lovely but the service was not. Had to look for staff to order our main meal and sweet then to be told the voucher was for one person not two. Then went away and came back to say it was for two was very embarrassing and no apology overall very poor customer service.

Had the most amazing spa stay starting with a gorgeous afternoon tea. The food was lovely, we weren't rushed and we were offered more tea and boxes for the remaining food. Every single member of staff we encountered on our stay was professional and lovely. Down to earth, friendly and helpful. It's noticeable. The spa facilities are fantastic with dressing gowns and flip flops all clean and lovely and an abundance of clean towels.

So many different spa areas and all gorgeous. The pools are all really warm. Everyone was respectful and peaceful, it wasn't too busy. Lots of all different kinds of people there, it didn't feel intimidating at all. I had a beautiful massage from Sophia A. She was so attentive and professional. She made me feel really cared for and listened to what I said about a couple of shoulder issues I have.

I felt comfortable with the pressure and she taylored the massage to suit me. I don't know much about the art of massage but her skills were awesome and she is very knowledgeable. Thank you Sophia. Along with a heated massage bed, relaxing music, a Calming atmosphere and super professional staff. Really really worth the money. My room was gorgeous, huge bathroom and all very well kept.

I didn't want to leave! There was a slight mixup with the booking of out treatments but it was resolved quickly and we received some very generous offers to make up for it. I am planning/saving to go back ASAP. The place was buzzing with people coming and going, some in robes and some in outdoor clothes and it's just a lovely place to be. Really well managed. X

2 night stay over xmas, starting boxing day. The good: Good parking. Friendly reception. Nice, spacious room. Good choice of food: V. Good sirloin steak, in the steak house (2 steak meals, 3 drinks 90+). Nice xmas meal. Nice boxing day meal. The not-so-good: Every course was slow to arrive, had to ask to be served. Cold starter with Xmas meal, sent back. Dogs in bar, and barking in hall. Confusing staff who asked if we were on "the list" before serving our mulled wine, who then proceeded to serve anyone who asked.

Tap loose in ensuite bathroom. V. Limited Covid measures, at times, crouded in main carvery. Spot light shining in the room all night. Agree with other opinions, expensive, but no real value. Isolating with Covid after stay, proven when lateral flow test was clear day before, and positive after. Nothing to shout about, the Ramside (in my opinion) is OK, but over priced. The Spa was not fully open during the stay, maybe this would have changed my opinion.

Lovely Spa. Fusion food delicious. Hotel a bit jaded and felt due to Covid it could have been cleaner. Premier room was good but could have been cleaned to a higher standard. Breakfast was disappointing.

Spa is first rate but beware packages, food did not include a tea or coffee.

Far too many people in one place. Felt as if Ramside put profit over welbing. Asked if we could move but no avail. Space was taken for coffee station which could have been put in the foyer! There will be no surprise if a massive outbreak occurs. 40 minutes to get served at the bar also went to the xmas do in Golf club for Michael Buble and the difference from there was so different and felt as if they observed covid rules!

Ramside hall is an amazing venue. The spa is so relaxing, the bars and restaurants are fantastic and the scenery and grounds are spectacular. Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys spa getaways.

Had a spa day with massage and mud therapy and stayed overnight. I have always turned my nose up to a spa day because im too manly wish i had of gave into it earlier, Brilliant relaxing couple of days would and slept like a log would definitely recommend.

Great hotel. Carvery wasn't very nice - that would be my only complaint. Great gym. Nice staff and the rooms were really nice and spacious

Unfortunately let down by the Spa. Stayed for one night and after paying 150 for a night, dissatisfied with the Spa. After staying here several times, upon arrival we were told that we would be allocated a 1 hour slot in the spa. The reason we come to Ramside is for the spa and this has therefore made my decision to look elsewhere when booking again. Arrived at 3pm for check in and told a 1 hour slot in the spa would need to be booked, the only time available 5pm.

After complaining, one lady advised us that we would not be able to have longer than an hour and that we would need to speak to a manager about this issue, also told there would be no room for upgrading to pay extra so that we have access to the spa facilities that we came for. After speaking to another member of staff, she explained we could pay 35 each which is nearly half of the price paid for the actual night.

I believe this is a new addition to their spa and I can honestly say once using the spa, people definitely had longer than an hour allocated as it was packed, this needs to be monitored and followed through if these are the rules. Spent over 300 after food and the added 70 for the spa so value for money just isn't there anymore. I'm also going to add, the 100 asked for upon arrival to hold. isn't all what it seems.

Try asking for a drink by the pool and to be told we haven't got an account set up several times after DEFINATELY putting the 100 deposit down. slightly worrying. Staff were great, room was great. but I would look elsewhere next time.

As usual, Ramside met, and exceeded expectations! The beds are extremely comfy, on the firm side, which i prefer, cleanliness is profuse, and the rooms are well insulated against noise. Room service for both nights was excellent and quick. The spa is incredible. Option of 2 saunas and 2 steam rooms, plus the amazing outside spa pool. Amazing.

Treating your employees with no respect. its bloomin disgraceful and you should be ashamed of yourselves. you've got no right to treat anyone the way you do for that food rating as well. I once went in there and the manager ate my dog, still not got it back and the husbands been goin mad.
