Great place to stay, gorgeous rooms and great views. Brilliant function room and restaurant. Food tastes great, but some items are a bit expensive. Drinks are slightly inflated compared to a regular pub, but that'll be just because it's a hotel and restaurant mainly. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

My son was married here and cannot fault the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff. The food was fantastic, My son and his (now) wife were lucky to have amazing weather and took advantage of been able to get married in the walled garden. The only reason i did not give 5 stars is the water was barely coming out of the shower. But rooms were immaculately clean and very tastfull decor. Yhank you and weldone to all for making their day so perfect.

Small room. Really, really hot. No facility to control heating in the room. Apparently throughout the whole hotel the heating is either on or off. Water pressure in the shower was barely there. No mirror in the room at all. No where to do hair or make-up. Water a nice touch. No phone to reception. TV very complicated to watch basic channels. Staff very pleasant. Breakfast nice. 100 over priced.

Lovely mid week break. Quirky decor in bar & restaurant area (and ladies!) and nicely decorated bedrooms. Nice fluffy white towels and toiletries provided. Big TV in room. Good hairdryer provided. Didn't get the opportunity to enjoy the gardens and grounds due to the weather but they were well kept and attractive. One of the nicest breakfasts we've had, with good quality products and served hot with plenty of tea.
