Services
Every room of our Newcastle, Metro Centre, Ryton & Blaydon Bed & Breakfast is decorated in a light and relaxing colour scheme. The ensuite rooms are furnished in Louis Versailles style, which compliments the Georgian features of the house. Many rooms have original fireplaces, window shutters and cornice work.
Hedgefield House is one of the nearest guest accommodations to Kirkley Hall, a prestigious wedding venue, set in stunning Northumbrian countryside. Kirkley Hall is a fabulous 18th. At Hedgefield House we understand that close family of the bride and groom usually take up accommodation at Kirkley Hall.
The walled garden is a wonderful sun-trap and so lends itself to more exotic plants. Bamboo and Japanese shrubs being at home in this part of the garden. The centenarian Apple tree has an abundant harvest each year, and you can pick your own apples. It faces the formal East facade of Hedgefield House.

A beautiful house, with lovely comfortable rooms that are decorated with an ecclectic style that compliments the rooms really well. Owner David a very host and made you feel very relaxed like it was your own home ( I wish!) Gardens around hotel fabulous well kept with a lovely show of spring flowers. Location very convenient for Newcastle, Gateshead, Whiteley Bay. Thoroughly recommended.

We've had an absolutely fantastic 3 night stay here at Hedgefield House in a four poster room which is so large, clean and beautifully decorated. Our host was absolutely great and is very friendly and helpful. Staff left us a beautiful gift of truffles for our wedding anniversary too! thank you so much for everything - your thoughtfulness has been absolutely incredible, Hedgefield House - we will 100% be back!

The room we used was large, warm and comfortable. The bathroom was also large with a bath and shower. There was an additional small room attached too. Everything one could ask for.

Beautiful hotel set within lovely grounds, electric gates on entry and plenty of parking. The double room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and spacious, comfortable bed all very clean and fresh. There was also an additional single bed, TV and coffee/tea provided, still bottled water and biscuits were a nice treat. Unfortunately, due to covid no breakfast was provided but there is shopping facilities about a mile away so we were able to enjoy food in the room. Would definitely stay again!

Very nice, tidy and well kept hotel. Lovely decorations and I especially liked the gargoyles on the roof. Nice lawns and very quiet. Breakfast is very vegetarian which suited me fine and dandy.

I stayed in room 4, in the annex, a twin room with shared bathroom. Room was fine, clean and spacious. The showers are in my opinion poor. The power was not great, and ran hot and cold, and the shower head could do with being replaced. Breakfast was o.k., a selection of fruits and yogurt etc. Host was pleasant and friendly

Quirky place but clean and cosy. Gorgeous gardens at the back of the house. Convenient parking at the main entrance. Even though some rooms have shared facilities, these are quite spacious and clean and there are plenty. Each bathroom has its own shower, sink and WC. Breakfast is very good and included.

Pleasant and comfortable and set back from main road so quiet at night. Rooms spacious and well presented. Staff helpful and pleasant. Nothing negative to say, really. Michelangelo Hotel next door good for dinner. Allowed us to charge our EV overnight which was a bonus.
