The room was great, the breakfast was amazing. Easy bus route into Brighton and a beautiful location. Most of the staff are lovely, however there was one incident with a lady in a yellow top who was arguing with me about checking my room and we asked her not to. Bus she's foreign so she could have been asking for anything really. Everything else was lovely.

Arrived very late, around midnight and we got the key from the reception. When entered the room, I noticed that the sheets were on the floor, and the whole room was not cleaned up after the previous customer. Went back to the reception and asked for a different room, but it looks like no others were available. The only solution they could find is to give bed sheets to arrange the room myself. I immediately asked for a refund and was given one. Terrible experience. This never happened to me before.

Arrived, everything was okay. Were in the room for no more than 20mins when we hear a tap at the door, and a woman just comes strolling in. She said sorry and left. The next day she comes but actually waits before entering. She then refused to tidy the room because we were in there. Her English is incredibly bad so we're not entirely sure what was happening.
We later found our from another very lovely staff member that she was their new supervisor. Who hires a rude person who can't communicate with guests properly? No idea. Everything else was perfect, sad that it was ruined by her.

This is our go-to place for a quick break in Hove. The rooms are great and the views are fantastic. Decent transport connections as well with a bus from right outside taking you to Brighton city centre. Supermarket (Co-op) nearby too and so are the restaurants of Church Road. Only weak point is breakfast as fresh fruit/veg and vegan options are quite limited. Same for the hotel's restaurant, which has a small selection for vegan diners. Decor and interiors can appear slightly dated. Lovely helpful staff. Nice bar.

Great sea views if you get rooms at the front. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast mediocre with tinned but no fresh fruit. Dinner in the bar reasonable and convenient. Short walk to a few good eating and drinking places. Quiet away from the Brighton buzz. Easy to get up onto the South Downs. Parking llimited, but pay for car park only a short walk when full.
