We stayed at Prince Hall for a weekend away in the gorgeous Dartmoor countryside. It was an absolutely stunning house, with an amazing hotel overlooking the Dartmoor hills. Such a great house with 9 very spacious en suite rooms. Ideal for a weekend with friends and also very kid friendly. Sam was very responsive to all emails in the lead up to the weekend away. Great equipped kitchen too! I would highly recommend.

This place is fantastic. The house is magnificent. The views are spectacular. We stayed in October and the whole house was warm and not at all draughty. The kitchen is well equipped - you could even bake a cake if you wanted to. The wifi is rubbish so you'll have to wait to get home to post all your brags about where you've stayed.

We stayed at Prince Hall for a Surprise 50th. The house was stunning and had everything we could possibly need. There was so much to do, a great games room with pool, table tennis, darts, table football, a BBQ on the patio, hot tub, sauna, board games and plenty of books. The location is beautiful. We were very lucky with the weather and some of our party went walking out in the moors straight from the property. The rooms were all large, clean and very comfortable! I cannot recommend staying here enough, we all had a wonderful time and made some incredible memories!

Just back from a family wedding at Prince Hall. This is a dog friendly hotel with a family behind it, and lovely views. Owner Chris and son Luke produced outstanding quality food throughout our three night stay. One guest commented that they had never had such good food outside a Michelin starred location. The hotel is relaxed and slightly rustic which was perfect for us, so those looking for modern or more starchy service are unlikely to enjoy the more family feel.
We took over the whole place, had a Tipi installed in the grounds along with matting and other bits. The team could not have been more accommodating and took as much as they could off the families hands to ensure we could sit back and enjoy things. With gales and rain for the wedding day, the team found some mini marquees and worked to install them themselves, they also offered access to a barn for storage to minimise the impact of the rain. Having taken the hotel over we saw all the rooms.
As with any hotel they have a variety of options. South facing ones enjoy the view, North facing ones don't, but are sheltered from any weather. They nearest neighbours are two miles away so a tranquil nights sleep was easy to achieve! Absolute legends, I cannot thank them enough for an amazing stay. If you love Dartmoor and enjoy a relaxed dog friendly environment with excellent food, I highly recommend Prince Hall.

I found it difficult to review the Prince Hall Hotel and then I noticed it was only a 2 star hotel which explained a lot for me. The room was adequate, bathroom small unable to shower unless you sat down and the toilet very close to the sink. But the bed was superb, comfortable and clean although a tear on the edge of the duvet cover. No cups in the room (had to ask twice) to go with the tea/coffee so went down to lounge for a drink.
The food was ok and we enjoyed what we had, but small portions. I can't help thinking that some good wholesome cooking would have been preferable than an expensive attempt at nouveau cuisine with weeds scattered over it. In general it was tired and it's location was the best aspect of this hotel.

Really lovely place and we found it by accident when we were driving around in the Dartmoor area. Unfortunately the chef had left for the day however they had fresh cream tea and cakes, which I recommend to anyone as they were all made freshly. Lovely staff. View is amazing outside and the country house is amazing to look at. Kept well refurbished with lot of history. Recommended for a visit you want be disappointed.

THIS IS an ideal getaway, Country Hotel set within the Dartmoor a National Park close to Two Bridges. I took my wife there for a surprise Wedding Anniversary weekend and we were delighted with everything from our arrival to our departure. Superb food, well equipped bedroom, helpful friendly staff and great walks. If you want to just experience the tranquility of the moorland landscape and be immersed in it but to have that little extra comfort you won't be disappointed with this hotel!
