The gardens are beautiful but the room had no long mirror which is off when most of the guests are there to get ready for a wedding. There was only one tiny mirror behind the TV. The room is basic and clinical with no atmosphere. The breakfast was okay but quite small portion. All in all not worth 100 a night.

We attended a wedding and stayed two nights, the bedrooms were sparsely furnished and very basic, looks good but not practical, some sockets/tv not working. No socket for the kettle! Rooms were covered in dust/spider webs. I had to clean before my daughter could sleep in there. Breakfast was tasty but portions small, not value for money. The grounds are beautiful but the pond/ water features need fencing to make it safe for children attending wedding celebrations, also broken glass in garden areas and on patio areas was not removed during our stay, even though we had picked up the majority and put it on the table.
The function room was pretty, with twinkling lights. The wedding buffet ran out and not refreshed before all guests had eaten. The staff were friendly but greatly understaffed and overwhelmed. Overall poor value for money.

Came here for my cousins wedding, beautiful garden area. lovely hall for all you needs. the main staff have been very friendly however the young servers at the dinner could have smiled or tried to look happy instead of looking miserable and with a can not be bother to be here attitude. Was a very lovely venue for a wedding. even stayed in one of the rooms on site, and couldn't really fault the room at all. it was clean and well kept. would visit here again, very nice

Visited for a wedding reception, can't speak for the bedrooms as we didn't stay overnight but firstly there's a massive car park so parking shouldn't be an issue. What we saw of the grounds was lovely. Food was really good for mass catering and the evening buffet was excellent. Drinks were a reasonable price and a good selection. One bit of feedback - when coffee arrived we were left to pour it ourselves and it barely went around 7 of us, and we ran out of milk. 3 of us requested tea which arrived in a pot but no larger cups provided. A small thing which was only so noticeable as everything else was so good. If you are considering a wedding reception venue then this should definitely be on your list.

Had our Sons wedding here at short notice due to being let down by other venue. The staff at the Plough were amazing and my son and his wife had a dream wedding here, the food was fantastic and value for money, the rooms were excellent and clean. There was always someone there if we needed advice or help, nothing was too much trouble, my Niece was married here 16 years ago and I remembered how nice it was then, still lovely and the grounds are beautiful. Thank you for saving their day and making it so special
