Guest Information - Where to Eat Report

This list is purely to help guests plan and pre-book meals when staying with us at The Old Railway Station, this is not an endorsement or recommendation. The Badgers is our closest pub (2 minute walk) and has long been one of the most popular eateries in this area. They offer a wide variety of international dishes and vary their menu often, depending on what is in season.

Guest Information - When Staying Report

Check in is between 3pm and 6pm. We ask guests to park on the gravel outside the front of the building and call us prior to coming to recpetion in order to maintain social distancing. If you are staying more than one night, we are no longer able to do a daily clean. Please leave any rubbish or dirty towels outside your room for housekeeping to take away.

Station House Lower Room Report

One of our larger rooms, this room has Access Level 3 for those with slightly restricted mobility. The en-suite has a large walk in shower and the bed is a super king size or can be made up as a twin. There is a table and chairs to enable guests to eat in their room if necessary, there is also tea and coffee making facilities.

Classic Pullman Carriage Rooms Report

We have six Standard Classic Pullman rooms. They all have a double bed, and there is a table and chairs to enable guests to eat in their room if necessary. There is also tea and coffee making facilities. There will be no daily housekeeping during times of social distancing, guests will be provided with clean towels and replacement toiletries, tea and coffee etc each day if required.

Completely loved staying here for a night. We all had a lovely restful 24hours. The carriages were fab. We booked 2 as there were 2 groups of couples. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a different kind of night away.

What a lovely place to enjoy afternoon tea. From the moment we arrived we were looked after by welcoming and friendly staff. The food was delicious and endless cups of tea. Will definitely be going back.

A unique experience. Lovely accomodation in old Pullman railway carriages. Also a hearty breakfast to start off the next day. The station looks great but it must take lots of effort to maintain everything and some minor areas needing attention could be spotted.

Had an excellent cappuccino here today. The lady serving us gave us a brief history of the place, very interesting. A really nice place to stop for a coffee.
