Steeped in history and set in 22 acres of picturesque countryside, Lythe Hill is a charming wedding venue offering 3 indoor spaces and an outdoor wedding gazebo. Alex and I had the best day of our lives! We were completely spoilt and so well looked after all day.
Everything was amazing, the food, the wine, the honeymoon suite, and all the staff were fantastic. The day ran seamlessly and stress free and we couldn't have asked for more.

Myself and my husband had our wedding here in May. From the start, everyone has been amazing. Gema met all our requirements and was so amazing on the day. She kept us updated on the day as to what was happening. We had over 100 guests and all of them said its the best wedding they've been to. Nothing was an issue for Lythe Hill Hotel. The food, entertainment, venue and staff were all amazing.

I came here with my soon-to-be sister-in-law and mother for afternoon tea. It is a beautiful venue, we had drinks of the patio in the sunshine, overlooking the lake. The afternoon tea inside was delightful, clearly freshly made cakes and sandwiches and Prosecco! The dining room is lovely, bright and airy with polite staff. A wonderful place for a relaxing afternoon.

My daughter arranged an afternoon tea for a mother's day treat, and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. It did not start well when the woman who "greeted" us gave the impression of looking down her nose at us and was not at all welcoming. For 26.95 each, we expected more than we got. The sandwich fillings were plain and some were tasteless, and one of them was very dry.
The cheese scones were sweet and we only ate them as we were very hungry - having saved ourselves for this. For the price, we expected freshly baked cakes, not ones that came out of the freezer earlier in the day. At first we were disappointed that there was one red velvet cake cut in half, rather than one each. Once we tasted it, we were grateful for this as it had the consistency of play dough and the taste wasn't much better.
Even my 7 year old granddaughter would not eat them. All 3 of us left there feeling a little sick and not as though we had enjoyed what should have been a lovely treat. I cannot comment on anything else about the spa, but based on this, I won't be back.

I'm surprised to see some of the bad reviews here, did we stay in the same place? The room was clean with the most comfortable bed, the food (both Sunday roast and Full English breakfast) was excellent. The staff was very helpful, everyone smiling and professional, they couldn't have done more for us. Well done.

We were here for our sons wedding. Yes it was a lovely day, lovely location, staff worked very hard, were very helpful, so customer service 5*. But I have to say the block of accommodation that we stayed in could do with a serious upgrade. The modern part we stayed in during November was nice enough, however this time we were put in a ground floor complex.
It was a lovely size. But It still has those awful bidets in with what I only hope was black mould in it. The carpet was filthy and the paint work on the ceiling has more triangles than a badly washed car!. food was ok, nothing to write home about. Overall a nice venue, but room for improvement cosmetically to make it excellent

The hotel was good, and the restaurant's food in the evening was excellent, but I was not impressed by the spa. The pool was cold, the changing rooms old and grubby, and the treatments were an absolute waste of money. I had booked this as a treat, and it was not! A 25 minute treatment, once you have been collected and left to change, lasts less than 20 minutes. The bad standard of the massages left me feeling no different and very disappointed. An absolute waste if time and money!

Went to complain about the service, how unclean the spa was (old bandages and a safety pin in the pool!) a lot more mould than expected and the woman at the desk informed us that she is also the wedding coordinator. No idea what that has to do the insufficient shampoo and conditioner provided (despite my multiple requests they were not increased) but I guarantee not only will I not be returning but I also won't be getting married there.

This was really great value for money. We had a groupon deal so got it at a really good price. Spa was nothing special really but it was nice enough. Very quiet when we went which was nice. The room was nice, great nights sleep and very comfy bed. The Reception staff ( reception and spa) were very friendly. Lovely setting.

Lovely hotel set in beautiful countryside. Very clean with spacious comfortable rooms. The restaurant is in a delightful old tudor building. The food was excellent. The spa and pool were a delight. Staff were friendly and attentive. A great stay overall. Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Hugely disappointing. Shambolic booking & checkout at poorly manned reception. Unable to accommodate anything slightly awkward. Restaurant food is appalling - not very well cooked or presented and poor value. Breakfast is better although again, service slightly lacking and one male member of staff abrupt although eventually thought to accommodate preferred seating arrangement. Accommodation needs updating as is quite dated and lacking more modern items like USB charging points (and insufficient mains sockets). Bed was large (2 joined singles) but rock hard and uncomfortable. Overall there was no attention to detail or real quality. Could be so much better.

Spa is a little tired but very enjoyable and the back massage was spot on lovely. Hotel is very nice generally though our room had a few minor defects & very annoyingly there was no power socket near the (very comprehensive ) drinks tray. Restaurant is lovely, VERY attentive staff & excellent menu& food.

The grounds are gorgeous and staff were polite and professional. Unfortunately we were in the dreaded noisey corridor (rooms 201 - 207) so not the greatest nights sleep what with banging firedoor and noisy guests. I can also confirm that the pool and jacuzzi in the spa is pretty chilly! I would consider visiting again if in a different part of the hotel, and can see why it is a popular location for weddings as it is a beautiful setting, especially this time of year.

Hotel management does not know the basic need of people. Keeping a bottle of water in a room is very basic. But they don't have it. Phone in the room was not working and they were not least bothered to fix it. No light working by the bed side. The sofa is not suitable for human usage. No water was warmed in the pool. It was very cold. In their food menus in the wine and spirit page you can find 1000s of Chinese.
But in food menu, there were only 4-5 items. Rose dinner is with only about 100g of chicken and three of onion leaves only. Price was 18. I think they know only to earn money but not to give a proper service. Staff was very good and pleasant. We would never recommend this hotel.

I have never given one star to any businesses or hotels in the past. We booked a deluxe room and when we arrived we realised that the room's view was towards the reception and not that attractive. We asked to change it and had to pay 60 extra for 2 nights in a lodge instead. The room was outdated and didn't smell good. They call the hotel a spa hotel but the swimming poll was colder than the ocean and in our two day stay we could only use the steam room one day.
The next day the steam room was out of order. No swimming pool no steam room what a great spa hotel, it ruined my relaxing holiday. The Dinner staff were lovely even though the menu was very limited, but in the morning the waiter who served breakfast was extremely rude and grumpy. I asked for a herbal tea and he treated me like I was asking something impossible.
The grapes in the open buffet was rotten and unwashed. We could only ever get through to an answerphone when calling the hotel. They don't even have someone to answer the customer calls. Impossible to talk to anyone. I left my charger in the hotel room and called and emailed and have had no response. Please do not waste your money on this hotel. I will be also be sharing this on my blog so people like me won't get their holiday ruined.

My wife and I had a short 3 day stay at Lythe Hill and it was fantastic. The room was spacious, and the bed was so comfortable. The food is first class and a dip in the pool with a sauna and jacuzzi rounded off each day perfectly. With friendly staff and the most amazing views, this hotel really is a must if you are looking for top quality accommodation and food, as well a relaxing atmosphere.

Amazing Spa break with friends. Hotel rooms clean and everything provided. I would definitely recommend the facials, so relaxing. Jade was excellent and so friendly. The food in the restaurant was superb. I recommend the Halibut to anyone that likes fish. Breakfast was great with lots to choose from. All the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Location and grounds so picturesque. We will definitely be returning.
