It's all about the food here. The breakfast we had was very good indeed. The service was also good, welcoming. It may be that the property is undergoing a room by room renovation and that our room was still to be worked on, but it seemed a little tired to us, a few areas of paint needing touching up, some wallpaper beginning to peel. We also noticed one or two carpet stains, tea cup stains and a little mould on the shower screen in the bathroom - see the photos. Nothing that's a show stopper, just not of the highest standard.

I wish we had booked more than one night here, it was a lovely treat for my husband's birthday. All the staff were excellent. the food was lovely. A brilliant choice at breakfast. Room 15 is a little hot, so I would request a different froom next time, although it is a lovely big comfortable room in every other way. We will definitely go back!
