Services
Our range of accommodation has something to suit everyone, from hotel and cottage rooms to static homes and even contemporary accommodation in our Secret Garden. Please note: we have gone cashless to aid cleanliness, minimise contact, and help protect our guests. As such, please be prepared to pay on card (or via our website) when you visit or stay with us.
Our hotel rooms are located across our upper two floors, and unfortunately, due to building restrictions, we do not have a lift. For less able visitors, we would suggest our cottage rooms, which can be viewed HERE. For added luxury, why not upgrade to one of our Sea View Rooms, which offer views of Oxwich Bay Beach.
Open the door and you will discover our 6 individual "pods", sleeping two adults each, and named after the trees planted beside them. Leafy hedges and walkways within the Secret Garden separate the pods, creating a private atmosphere for each one, while at the centre sits a gravity-defying fountain.
Ivy Cottage is situated a short walk from the hotel, and just 200 yards from Oxwich Bay Beach. It is a boutique style residence which has been imaginatively designed in a retro style, and is full of quaint features such as antique telephones and old-fashioned roll top baths. Ivy Cottage is dog-friendly!

Ate a lunchtime meal. chicken thighs in a bun. Expensive place, but sadly the food tasted greasy and cheap. Tiny piece of chicken in a mound of greasy batter served in a dry bun with a pile of average chips and a teaspoon of unseasoned coleslaw. Really not very good for 16. We noticed lots of leftover meals. Obviously it wasn't only ourselves that felt food was poor. Limited menu and everything looked unhealthy. Gorgeous location, shame food is so bad

Six family members had an overnight stay in one of the hotel's caravans, following our attendance at a wedding. After originally booking other accommodation, we were informed that the caravans were all that was available. The caravan was marketed as a 9-berth, so we were expecting plenty of room. We were disappointed with the size and the age of the caravan. It was very basic, dated and tired looking. On the other hand, the setting and location is majestic. The breakfast, whilst not outstanding, was perfectly acceptable.

No food available! Nothing to eat at all, considering its supposed to be a restaurant. No cream available with coffees. Very slow service despite hardly anyone there. Staff got themselves drinks before serving customers. Building looks tired and shabby from outside. Poor disabled access. Very disappointed.

Stayed for a wedding, the staff were lovely, very friendly and accommodating, the wedding venue was gorgeous and all very well done, we had a lovely day and the breakfast was good. The views from the hotel are absolutely amazing, we stayed in three cliffs room which had panoramic views of the beach. The reason I haven't given more stars is that our room desperately needed a refurb, the dated carpet, stained sofa bed and dirty curtains all looked a bit scruffy, the bathroom could also do with updating, the grout between the tiles was stained making it look grubby.
It was fine for a one night stay but considering it is supposed to be one of the more luxurious rooms it needs sorting. My parents stayed in room 12 which was more modern but could still have done with the dated carpet being removed.

Stunning location and nice homely hotel. Staff were all particuarly helpful, especially the gentleman who served us breakfast, Mr Williams (we bonded over our surname!). He was an absolute delight and had a little chat with my partner and I. We have stayed here a few times and love coming here. The rooms we've stayed in have been just the right size for a night or two's stay away.
It's nice that there is a TV and coffee and tea provisions in the rooms. We were disappointed that the restaurant wasn't operating at the moment and that the bar was only open until 8pm. As much as I love the location and the hotel as whole, I feel that the rooms could be of a slightly better standard. Things such as marks on the walls, the paint peeling in areas and around the window.
The bathrooms are modern and are finished to a nice standard, however I did feel slightly disappointed by the frayed bath towels. Finally, the inclusive breakfast is wonderful and of a very good standard. Overall I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Booked room 10 for new years day. Absolutely amazing location and view from the room. Owner and rest of staff super friendly and helpful, breakfast was best I've had in a long time. Had a look at the wedding venue, it was outstanding. The whole place and beach is an absolute gem. We will definitely be back.

I should probably begin by clarifying that I visited the hotel as an attendee at a wedding rather than a guest. The Chestnut Room was a lovely venue for the smallish ceremony and reception. The log burner and huge chestnut beam across the ceiling really looked beautiful and gave a lovely rustic feel when seen with all the wedding decorations and seating arrangements etc.
The hotel is situated right on the beach where there are lots of nice walks to be had across the dunes (even if it is a little cold in February!), and is only a short distance from lots of other little villages and coves within the Three Cliffs Bay area. If we had been in the area longer I would have liked to have gone back to try their lunch menu and enjoy the view.

I actually stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for another but was happy we ate here and would definitely recommend eating here. Pros: Plenty of parking and seating inside and a fantastic view during the day time. Our waiter let us know that the restaurant recently acquired a new chef who likes to source his ingredients from local Welsh producers.
We had a fantastic light meal of seafood cocktail and goat cheese and beetroot tartlet. Both were unlike anything I've ever tried. The buttery, crisp crust was the perfect base to the tender beetroot, spicy horseradish and creamy goat cheese. It was creative and satisfying. Cons/Suggestions: Their website wouldn't allow me to review their menu. I would recommend reducing the amount of watercress included in the tartlet dish. Walls next to our table could use a scrub.food was splattered over the picture frames.

I've not ever actually stayed here, but I've often been to their bar and restaurant area many times. It's always busy due to the fantastic location. There is a very large pleasant garden where you can eat meals while still sodden from your sea activities. The path takes you in a kind of spiral up to the pub itself. Unfortunately the decor inside is very tired, apparently they don't think they need to update it while busy and the prices of meals can be quite high.
The main area is okay, but when they are busy they open up a larger area out back and upstairs to allow for overflow, and it is this area which feels more like a care home than anything else. You are sat with many other tables in a huge bland room with peeling wallpaper and no character, like downstairs. The food is, as I mentioned, quite expensive, but is usually of quite a high quality. It's just traditional pub food for the main, but occasionally you'll get a gem on the specials menu. But this place is excellent for a pint as you watch the sun go down over the water.

We stayed at the Oxwich Bay Hotel in August 08: like others I had eaten there before (some years ago) but never stayed. The weather was poor so the terrace and beach were therefore not inviting. The hotel has limited facilities for guests however - we were not made aware of any indoor guest facilities beyond our room, the restaurant and the 'bar'.
What is called 'The bar' is a small area situated in the doorway to the cafe/restaurant that had just four chairs. The staff are happy to find guests a table in the restaurant if they don't want to sit outside, but no hotel lounge was available. The hotel appears to cater extensively for weddings: a large marquee is set up in the grounds and a private garden is set aside for wedding parties.
In the hotel are luxury rooms, 175 per night, which I was told were very pleasant. The rooms we stayed in however were not: we stayed for just one night (out of the 4 we had booked) and ate just one meal. The evening meal was reasonable but the service was haphazard: most of the staff were very pleasant but many seemed uninformed and largely unaware of normal restaurant service; others just seemed very tired.
Despite being guests at the hotel we were told we had to book a table in advance - the Receptionist offered to do this for us but when we went to the restaurant no booking had been made. A table was found for us anyway (there were several empty ones actually). Our table had dirty crockery on it that had overflowed from an adjoining table - this was just moved back onto the table from which it had come and our meal was served to us while the table beside us remained stacked with dirty plates, cutlery and napkins: these were not cleared until we were on our dessert course.
We ordered a bottle of wine to share between the two of us - when it arrived, 15 minutes later, it was accompanied by just one glass. We had to ask for a second glass, and then explain why we were asking: our waitress seemed to regard this as an unusual request! Our accommodation was in the cottages owned by the hotel, just down the road from the main building, at 85 per night.
The standard of decoration and repair was poor in the rooms we saw - particularly in the bathrooms: hotel staff admitted that the rooms were scheduled for renovation but this was not made clear at the time of booking and no reduction from the standard room rate was made. Just to illustrate the point: the bed in our room was broken - the divan base had collapsed at one end - but the bed was freshly made up nevertheless, presumably in the hope that we wouldn't notice.
Staff responded quickly to our complaints and offered another room at a slightly reduced rate. This room was better in some respects but worse in others. Having spent the night in the room and the next day walking, we returned to our room to freshen up at 4:30pm, only to discover that the housekeeping staff had not yet cleaned the cottage (this took until 5pm).
A family arrived at the cottage while we waited for our room to be ready, took one look at their rooms; declared them 'unfit for a dog to stay in' and refused to move in. We decided it was time to leave. The hotel apologized and offered us a luxury room at no extra charge but for the following night, as one wasn't available that night.
We declined and checked out. Our experience of the hotel was very unsatisfactory. We will never go back. I hope however that wedding parties, booked into the luxury rooms and perhaps blessed with good weather, would have a rather better time.

Every summer me and some friends go to oxwich bay, after a long hot day of playing frisbee and other games, we always walk to the Oxwich Bay Hotel for a few drinks and a meal. It has changed in the last few years and has become more upmarket which in my opinion isn't a good thing. The food and drinks are very expensive compared to similar places. It's saving grace is its views from the outdoor area and how close it is to the beach. It's the perfect way to wind down after a fun day in the sand.

I haven't stayed overnight in the hotel but I've eaten here twice, the last time being early this summer. We ate at a table in the restaurant indoors and it was packed out, being a Sunday lunchtime. There was quite a good, varied, menu and the food was nice (if a bit expensive) but the service was terrible and we had a long wait. The staff were obviously having a difficult time with so many people to attend to and they weren't friendly or helpful.
My meal was slightly different to what I'd ordered and so one girl took it away to make the changes. I then had to wait 15 minutes before it was brought back! It took a very long time to get the bill after we asked for it, and then ages to pay, with the two girls involved making me feel uncomfortable, as though I were a nuisance for asking them.
On the other occasion when we ate here, it was at one of the outside wooden picnic tables. You have to go inside to order and then the food is brought out. That time things were better but there was still a long wait for anything ordered. I don't think we shall bother to eat there again.
