A very welcoming place warm and cosy. The food is home made, the chicken liver pate was divine and a a generous portion, everything was perfect even the duck breast cooked to perfection. Staff very happy and friendly ensuring more than once that everything was to your satisfaction. Definitely go again.

The pub and restaurant is lovely, food was great, service excellent. Unfortunately the letdown is the sound proofing of the rooms. The doors to the rooms are extremely flimsy and you can hear other residents especially if they've had a few beers. The staff are very good and apologised for the noise, this didn't really bother us as I think everyone is entitled to have some fun. This was our second visit and we will stay here again.

Stayed here for a wedding with a friend, was amazing all round. Was a lovely pub and the room was comfy and clean. The service was absolutely amazing, the whole team went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable! the breakfast was lovely too. A special thanks to Karen for kindly dropping us to the wedding as we were unable to get a taxi.

Stayed here with my wife and another couple we were travelling with for a night before a wedding and we were absolutely delighted with our time here. Lovely, cosy, clean, warm and secure rooms that I would say are incredibly fairly priced. The bar staff were all very helpful, friendly and polite and the food really was fantastic, very good level food for 'pub grub' clearly doing something right as the pub was fully booked out all night for dinner. Genuinely really great food. If I'm ever in the area again I will 100% stay here and will recommend to anyone that asks.

Lovely meal here today. I have eaten here a lot over the years & the food is consistently very good. Excellent service also very reasonable prices. Called at short notice for a table & the staff were very accommodating. They didn't even mind that I was 10 minutes late, due to a road closure I knew nothing about! Can highly recommend.

Not good if you have a wheelchair and want to use the toilet one step down and no ramp. Also no yellow strip for blind or partially sighted! But a good size toilet for a wheelchair user. Good food

Lovely C17 (grade II-listed) pub in the little village of Chiselhampton, near Oxford. The food is restaurant-grade, there's a good selection of drinks and the service is efficient. For some reason they close their main door, which faces the road, giving the pub the appearance of being closed. I can't help thinking they lose a lot of custom because of this.

We stayed here on Saturday night, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The bed was a little small for us, we are used to a huge bed at home! Room was very clean and fresh. Lovely pub generally. The breakfast was first class, very impressive, it was the nicest, freshest, most delicious fruit salad that I have ever had on a breakfast buffet, thank you! Would definitely come back and recommend

My now husband booked The Coach & Horses for my bridal party. We had booked it 2 years ago when we were meant to be getting married, Due to pandemic and all the restrictions we had to move our booking twice. Dave (The Manager) was extremely helpful in our requests for new dates and numbers. When the weekend came Eva and her team went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome.

All the rooms, were clean and to a high standard. The meal was delicious, served quickly and the staff were brilliant. I would highly recommend this lovely wee place for anyone coming through or travelling to the area. Thank you so much!

I phoned David, the owner, very last minute & asked if he could do a roast/stroganoff take away. He was more than happy to accommodate me & even let me order starters & dessert! As normal the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend The Coach & Horses & I've never had a bad meal there.

We just had four rooms booked for family and they were all perfect. Lovely people that were exceedingly helpful and obliging and the food was amazing. Also rooms set in very pretty courtyard surroundings with large carpark for ample parking.
