I really wish we had read all the bad reviews before booking. On arrival we were asked for photo Id. The "free parking" cost 10 and we were told after booking and paying that breakfast would be left outside our room as they were not offering the full English option even though we had booked a room with a cooked breakfast included. The room was small, the bathroom wasn't a room and the shower was dirty and barely worked.

The cherry on the cake came when the unhelpful and rude receptionist prevented us from having our daughter come to our room. not to stay, just to sit with us for half an hour while we got ready to go out for the evening! We were visiting her at uni for my birthday. We were told it was hotel policy. I asked her to explain the policy and she couldn't.

Just kept repeating herself. She told us our daughter could sit in the bar area, when I asked what the difference was between her sitting there and sitting in our room. you've guessed. hotel policy! I asked if we could have a refund so we could stay somewhere else, she looked me up and down and said absolutely not, turned her back on me and left reception. If we had booked for more than one night, we would definitely have gone elsewhere. Do not stay here people! If I could leave no stars, I would.

We arrived here late Saturday evening after trying to find somewhere to stay was only meant to be for a night ended up staying till Monday, the staff was so very friendly especially Ruby and Mike, we had a family room number 24 at the front was very comfortable and well to say we was shocked to find all the activities in here was an understatement we had a sauna and whirlpool and then ended up in the heated swimming pool there is a lovely cinema and bar here plus a ballroom i would 100% return and highly recommended this hotel and definitely will be returning it is close to shops restaurants and most of all a lovely sandy beach thankyou for a lovely time xx

A bit disappointing, very small room with a tiny en suite with a shower that hardly got you wet, and we were in the superior double room. Even though their website advertised a restaurant there was none so we had their box breakfast, o.k. for what it was. On the plus side room was clean as were the sheets etc. and reception area looked like it had been recently refurbished. Hotel really was only 10mins from center. Have seen a lot worse and i enjoyed the holiday

Got shouted at by the 'boss' and locked out of our room for not returning the swimming pool key (we were not told to return it) thought it was ours for the time we were there. Very rude. Dirty room, had not been hoovered. Clumps of hair on the carpet. Would not recommend!

Not impressed with my room. 100 a night for single bed in a room that I could touch opposite walls with my outstretched hands. No where to hang the shower head on wall above bath. Tv ariel fell out of socket after 10 minutes. Nb tv is tiny free gift granny used to get free with her life insurance! Won't be bothering in future!

New basement family rooms are great, all others are terrible. Hot tub thing and pool are good if you dont mind the few years of sand built up in them. Not bad. Seriously overpriced, more for your monel elsewhere.

Love Bournmouth but think I should of researched the hotel before we booked more. We stop in room 29 my god my kitchen at home was bigger. I did call the hotel and sent an email expressing the need for a decent room?. At that point I had already paid so I got a worrying reply to my email stating that they don't do room preference?, even though we booked 3 months in advance.

So I thought run with it how bad could it be. Was also told parking on site? Not that I'd have to do some app thing at 53 extra on top of a already expensive five days away. The room was clean and the bed was comfy, but the bed was almost the same size as the room. No space to walk about kept bumping into the bed and wall. The shower was just awful it was so tiny the water took ages to warm up and the shower door wouldn't close.

When I did finally get the door closed to get washed in there was a mission. The hotel itself in corridors was nice and clean and tidy bar and lounge bit dated but ok. We had to book to use the bathtub splash pool to much chlorine eyes were stinging when I got out, spar bath was ok but had to keep getting out every ten mins to turn it on again. But the sauna was nice touch.

I thought I'd give my view to a manager as we decided couldn't stop there for the full five nights booked, due to the room and the shower, they did offer to see it they could put us into another room but I'd had enough and just wanted to go home. Disappointing will just make sure I book a prem inn in future cause at least you know what you get for the money and good size rooms, and bathroom as well.

Sorry new west Cliff hotel it 2 out of 10 from me and you got two cause the sauna was a nice touch. Think you should of refunded me the last two nights stay? For that you got this review sorry try working to keep your customers happy wherever possible. Andy and Annette. Room 29 3/07/2022 - 6th. Should of been 8th book out. Take care check the room size, that room to me was no more than 350 max not 679 real expensive totally.

If I could give zero stars I would. Nothing about this experience was good. The room was dated, and less than 6 foot across. But the worst thing was the bed. This had a broken base. With the mattress only really supported by a plank of wood across the middle. I don't mind a tired room, but the bed should be fit for purpose. REALLY NOT HAPPY.

Avoid completely! Wouldn't even give this place 1 star! Cleaners need a lesson in cleaning for a start! Our bathroom & toilet were filthy! No hand sanitiser seen anywhere. The complimentary pubic hairs found in the bath tub, showed that the area had not been cleaned properly! And a watering can would provide more pressure than our shower did! The mattresses were as hard as nails! You'd have a more comfortable nights sleep on a park bench! Didn't dare venture into the pool area! Can confidently say we won't be returning!

Even for a basic room such as this expected tea making facilities. Room clean, not very big en suite small but clean and tidy. Didnt go for breakfast as very basic continental and brought to your door. Jungle Cafe 3 mins walk away does full english good food reasonable prices.cheaper than 8.50 hotel price tag. However hotel cheap. car park should be cheaper. have to pay on phone or app before heading for reception if not parking attendant patroling car park.

Mike on reception was very helpful. In fact all the staff I had co text with were lovely and helpful. They are obviously investing money into renovating the hotel. Smart new carpets and attractive bedroom doors. My room still had work to do inside. Tired looking bed and bed linen but I have to say it gave me a good nice sleep. The bedroom needs a little work but was clean, the shower wasn't great but I enjoyed a lovely bath.

Not sure what I'd of done had I needed to wash my hair. Breakfast was great. Cooked to order so everyone will be happy. Newly decorated with new carpets. Overall a very pleasant stay and would stay here again. I think once all the renovations are complete the hotel will be fantastic
