A bit expensive for what it is, but great location on the seafront, so I guess that's what you pay for. Rooms were clean, usual tea and coffee available. Good size bathroom and shower was decent. Only downside, couldn't see through the window or open it, so felt a little claustrophobic, but overall experience was good and would stay here again.

Nice seafront hotel and bar located near the pier owned by a lovely male couple, rooms are cosy clean and warm, couple of negatives is storage for cloths and limited parking on the premises, a positive to off set this is they have male cabaret every Saturday will definitely get my business again realistically I think the price could be reduced by 10-15

The hotel is a little old fashioned in the design but there is charm in that! The furnishings themselves looked older but functioned amazingly - the beds were super comfy, the towels nice, the bath and shower excellent! The Receptionist was so lovely to myself and my friend. They helped us to check in, moved our room into a slightly bigger version of the one that we originally booked, helped us to order dinner (takeout), got us cutlery to eat with AND took our bags for the day we checked out so we could continue to enjoy Brighton!
The bar was lovely and cosy with cool decor and easy to access toilets. The club wasn't so noisy that it upset the quiet time for bed, and the rooms were decently quiet (impossible for silence based on the location). Right on the seafront too!

Visited for an evening at the Adonis show for a hen night out. Nice try! But drinks were not great, the drag act spent more time roasting the girls which seemed nasty rather than funny and saw a better drag act at the Amsterdam hotel for free!. Good job from the 3 lads that stripped, great interaction with us ladies who paid for the experience.

Visited with my family in June 2021, its a nice place, nice staff, but the place just needs some tlc. Mum paid for the seafront room but we ended up with 2 separate rooms with 2 beds each, another customer said that they booked the same room and didn't get it either. The rooms are simplistic, but very warm since it was summer. We could've had the windows open but there was a surprise just opposite outside, a dead pigeon hanging from its foot in a net, when the blinds are up you could see it and literally half an hour before staff were setting up the rooms.
It wasn't a big issue, it was just unsettling. We were only there for a night but I struggled to sleep because of outside noise. In general its close to the shore and pier which is a plus, It's an alight place to stay for a short period of time =

Booked for a girls night out in Brighton. Amazing price for a great room for the 4 of us. Great bathroom, all vert clean. Friendly staff 24 hours of the day. Incredible location. Had a sea front room so woke up to a beautiful sunrise on brighton beach. Will be using again for anymore trips to Brighton. Would definitely recommend. Only downside was we couldnt get the radiator fully off as it was a sunny day. However I'm sure if we asked the staff it could have been sorted. Looking forward to going back.

The guys here are very rude. They have a scam running. My laptop went missing. While I was complaining I was told there is no way for them to enter my room. Erm, room service? Lost keys? Pretty sure the key they give you on arrival us not the only way into a hotel room! He told me to check again as his mate walked past looking rather smug. Walking back into my room the laptop had re appeared. Work this one out for yourself but as far as I can tell it is a lovely little scam they have going

Good comfortable bed, nice sized room but the decor could do with a bit of a refresh. The bathroom was clean but the water pressure in the shower was very low. You have to remember that it is an old building so the stairs and corridors are very narrow, floors uneven and creaky and not as soundproof as many modern hotels. There is no lift access.

If you're thinking about ignoring some of the worse reviews and booking this, just don't! Really. There's no need to pay this much for beds that sink, rooms that you wouldn't want to walk barefoot on, a NAIL as the handle on the faucet, and overall dingy looking room. Wasn't the worst experience I've had in a hotel, but definitely was not enjoyable.

As a hotel, the entire affair was pleasant. The area was great and the downstairs 'club' was good, however the rooms themselves left a bit to be desired on. The plugs were a bit iffy, the shower was awful, and the tight rooms weren't the best. However, for where it was it was amazing. Close enough that a five minute walk took you right to the action and just secluded enough that the general noise of the outside areas were just about bearable. For the prices I'd personally go further out for cheaper and take the hit if the taxi prices. Not bad, not good.

Booked a sea front view specifically. When we arrived only then were we told there wasn't a sea front room available. They reduced the price, however its not what we booked for. Would of booked somewhere else if we knew we weren't going to get a sea view. They had plenty of time to tell us in advance. The walls are extremely thin you can hear outside, The staff are nice but its just ruined the general experience of the holiday. If you book a sea front view, just beware you may not get what you booked for.

Not majorly impressed, stayed here the other night whilst on a work trip. Was booked in by work, found there was a nightclub in the hotel which wasn't a major problem once I got to the room as it was far enough to not hear the music. However the single glazed Windows didn't help with the noise outside, then the dip in the mattress which kept me awake all night coupled with the lift that is only big enough for 1 person and corridors outside the guest rooms that are so narrow it is difficult for 2 people to pass, left me feeling that I wouldn't return. Was disappointed with breakfast as the full English listed sausages, bacon rashers and Freud eggs, all plural, however when it came out, there was a single sausage, a piece of bacon the had been sat under a heat lamp for too long and the beans I am convinced were from the previous day as they virtually had not sauce in them and they had dried up almost to a paste On the plus side the staff are nice and friendly and eager to help.

Such a good experience. I only review places if they were amazing or terrible, and my stay here was amazing. We booked a room the day of and the staff could tell we'd had a rough day. They gave us the cheapest price out of all the other hotels we looked and a beautiful seaside view. It's right across from the pier which is nice. People complained about our noise levels because we had two friends that were staying in the hotel a block away over for less than half an hour and the hotel staff were very polite about it.
They went out of their way to make us comfortable and the free breakfast was good (full English plus cold choices). The rooms were also very nice and they have a great bar area to hang out in.

The new madeira hotel offers executive stays and budget stays so you get a good mixture of people in the bars which relaxes everyone and gives for a good vibe. As you can see from the pictures the good rooms are modern and contemporary with good views of the sea. This hotel offers all the standard services you would expect such as tv, wi-fi, tea and coffee making facilities and so on.
They also offer a chaffeur service if you want to impress. If you book on the day sometimes you can get a real bargain but especially in the summer months is best to book well in advance to get the good rooms. This hotel won't break the bank and is an ideal location right in the heart of the Brighton city centre. The staff are really helpful with ideas of things to do in Brighton and the website shows events that are happening so you can get all what you want from your stay on this website alone if you do not want to waste too much time googling.
