We stayed in the Apartment on the top floor. It blew all of our expectations out of the water. There were four of us, two couples and the layout was absolutely perfect for us and we wished we could have stayed for longer. Both bedrooms are perfect, with ensuite bathrooms each. The kitchen is excellent and if you wanted to, you could cook a whole meal from scratch.
The living space is super comfy also. The couple of things I'd mention are that in our bedroom we were missing bulbs for both of our bedside lamps, which wasn't a big deal and if we wanted to I'm sure the front desk would have dealt with it. Also, the kettle is absolutely coated in lime scale which caused our coffee drinking friend to have horrible tasting coffee!
A new kettle might be advised. Overall, a fantastic stay, with ample parking, a lovely looking Indian restaurant right nextdoor (which we didn't actually get the chance to use), and perfect driving distance to pretty much anything you'd like to do in the surrounding area. Would definitely book here again!

This is not an olde worlde place, oozing charm, set in the heart of the forest, and intially, I rejected it, but it fulfilled all our needs just as well, if not better, so very pleased to have found such a nice place to stay. Located close to a busy road yet literally just around the corner from the forest proper, it is well maintained and comfortable with the added benefit of a very good Indian restaurant next door.
We stayed on a Bank Holiday Saturday, so everywhere was very busy, however, we requested a quiet room at booking and duly got one. The road noise was there, but not loud or disturbing and we slept very well in the clean and comfortable room. We did use the provided fan, so possibly that covered some guest noises, but it really wasn't a problem anyway.
The bath was nice: deep and hot and there were plenty of tea and coffee making supplies, along with complimentary biscuits. A fridge, with bottled water provided, was very handy for a few bits and bobs and there is a toaster and microwave, along with crockery and cultery near the reception area so, although no breakfast was provided, it's easy enough to make something for yourself. We, in fact, whizzed into nearby Lyndhurst for breakfast. Our reception was very friendly, professional and helpful and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great 4 stars family run hotel. The staff is very welcoming, helpful and polite. Rooms are very clean with fridge, TV and very comfortable bed. Can be a bit noisy, considering it is located next to the busy road. Although, it is very easy to find. : Check in between 3 pm and 7 pm. There is very good Indian restaurant next door there, which we found very useful too after driving long way. Definitely recommend it!

I didn't even get to stay here in the end due to unforeseen circumstances with a family member extremely ill. So I had to cancel my booking last minute, and even though the rules were that I should be charged, New Forest Lodge cancelled for me completely free of charge. I am so grateful at such a tough time for my family and will definitely be looking to book with them again

Just returned back from a two night stay here. Unfortunately this "hotel" is more like a dilapidated motel from an american sci fi movie. This is by no means a four star hotel at best it's a two star. Clean enough, but extremely dated with an extremely creepy feeling and definitely not the vibe you want when escaping for a country retreat with a toddler.
A very grumpy and uninviting welcome from the woman who let us in. The most concerning thing is the fact there is no one to attend the property at night, its very open to the motorway and there are no locks on the inside of the room door? And EXTREMELY loud at night, the walls are like paper and we could hear the tv from next door and the couple talking above us, not to mention the sound of cars whizzing past all night.
No breakfast options, no garden, nowhere for children to play. Positive - fifteen minutes from Peppa Pig world, but for the same price could have stayed at the Premier Inn. Sorry to leave this review as I'm aware this is a family run business, but we left at 8am this morning because we couldn't wait to get home and really expected better hospitality.
