Nailcote Hall

The room itself was dirty, the bathroom shelf still had hair on it from previous guests, there were bugs in the bathroom. Even after speaking to reception and the room being cleaned and ant powder put down the hair on the shelf remained. The wedding we attended was lovely the room was set out beautifully and the food was okay, the pianist was brilliant.

The dj kept the place lively. The swimming pool was lovely and warm and it was very picturesque down there. Overall not sure I'd willingly return to stay at the hotel unless a friend was getting married there.

Went to a seventies night which was great fun. The whole experience was totally enjoyable. The staff make this hotel exceptional they are so friendly and helpful top marks to every single one of them. Can't wait to book for any similar evening they organise.

Great location for NEC and Birmingham, wonderful old building with character. Rooms big, beds a bit soft and yet where are the mains sockets, none by the bed, desk had 2 with lamp and kettle plugged, and then 2 down on floor by dresser, no use at all for phone or tablet. Did get to restaurant, menu looks good. Breakfast looked like it was their first day of doing this, tables not cleared, staff running round and the hot food served in hallway. Good news for the hotel is they were pretty full.

I went with my friend for afternoon tea and we were looked after well at the table. Plenty of tea/coffee and the cakes were very nice, the few sandwiches we had each were nice especially my friend's salmon sandwich. We sat next to the window looking out at the lovely gardens.

Had a great time visiting this place for a wedding. The service was fantastic. All staff were great but two members of staff really stood out and went above and beyond to accommodate myself and my two young daughters, Caitlin and Shannon. Thankyou so much for all your help. The room was also incredible, we stayed in Willow and it was ideal for a family.

From the minute we checked in everything was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very comfortable. Food excellent. Will visit again for sure. My only small complaint would be the price of a cappuccino I do feel that 4.50 is rather extortionate!

He was just outstanding, his voice is Incredible, and his performance fantastic, we had an awesome night. Michael himself is such a beautiful soul he went round the room table by table too getting everyone up on their feet his audience interaction was fabulous.

Definitely highly recommend & we will be following him real soon for a second night of George Michael & great fun! Thank you so Much Michael Tracie x Hotel itself was a disappointment, staff rude & no direction to where we was to go for the tribute night! May want to look at that. The floor staff on the other hand once in the room was polite & helpful!

Food was lovely too. Dj not so great, not much to offer the customers needs to read the room better for a more happier & successful night - Looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there! The cleanliness was below average. Certainly some areas need attention!

Visited the restaurant as we are planning to have our wedding at the venue. The food was delicious, thank you chefs. Also, a huge thank you to Nathan for being amazing, very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We apologise for taking so long to write up a review for you! We hope you are about when we're there for our wedding.

Lovely hotel. The staff are all really friendly, helpful and seem genuinely happy to be working there. The rooms are a little dated but spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Food is exceptional. Feels like you are eating Michelin star food and absolutely delicious. Pool area is simple but has everything you want. Good size pool, great jacuzzi and a steam room. We would definitely return and had a lovely night away. Thank you!

Unfortunately Nailcote Hall had a problem which was completely not their fault and out of there hands. Nevertheless had a wonderful stay the staff friendly and very helpful the facilities were excellent and the hotel food and cleanliness was excellent would highly recommend Nailcote Hall.

I chose Nailcote Hotel as a surprise spa getaway for my partner's 30th Birthday, I had hoped for a gorgeous relaxing spa weekend and the pictures on their website made me believe this was what I was getting. I booked a four poster room and this we didn't get. We did get a large suit, however it was dated and very dirty. The bathroom was very dirty and the jacuzzi bath jets were filthy, there was hair in the plug hole and mould in the silicone.

I initially chose Nailcote due to its spa facilities and it's gym but the pictures online are not true to its reality. The women's changing rooms smelt of urine and the area surrounding the pool were so dirty as the mud from the clay tiles was everywhere and getting into the pool water. I asked for some sliders or a robe (as offered in many spa facilities) they don't offer this.

The meal and staff attending to us that evening were fantastic but I paid for this as extra for my partner's birthday. I would like to emphasize that they were busy due to a wedding being held however I don't think this is excuse as the cost of the room was quite alot. Furthermore, I wrote them an email explaining how I usually write a review and explained the problems we encountered during our stay along with photos of the bathroom ect.

This was in October and they have not responded. I would have appreciated to have read a review like my own before spending my money with them, as stated I booked this place due to the spa services and they were awful. Overall the grounds looked beautiful, parking was good and restaurant was beautiful.

My best mates daughter got married here just over a week ago. Great little place. It was warm in the Marquee. Shame as it was evening or else the outside would have been a great place for photos etc. Reception areas great and lovely entrance. The services given was great.

Like a curates egg, telephone & reception good, housekeeping poor, missing essentials. Bar staff very helpful, limited beer selection, indifferent wine list, dining room staff helpful and attentive tasty menu, excellent baked cheesecake. Served breakfast good, buffet breakfast a shambles. Great pool.

A warm, welcoming, comfortable hotel. Pretty grounds (golf course). Numerous areas to sit alone, with friends or in a large group. Friendly staff. Good food. A perfect place for a relaxing stay or a celebration.

1st time staying here, as I was working near by and needed a base to stay. Quick and easy booking in and out. Nice big rooms with everything you needed. Excellent food at breakfast and dinner. Good Spa / gym facilities not too crowded Staff all helpful and friendly/ polite Lovely grounds / golf course Will be staying each month i have to go to work in that area till March.

Lovely hotel old with classic rustic decor. The staff were polite and hygiene standards as you would expect them to be in such COVID conditions. Our visit was due to a wedding the markee was amazing with heating and ample space to party, alcohol costs a bit steep but I guess they have to make a profit. Food was lovely in all no complaints.

We were really thrilled to be staying here, especially after reading many of the reviews. To the main part we weren't disappointed, however there are some short comings! The staff are awesome and I could not commend them more. The building is sublime and the food really is awesome. The room was spacious and the bed was one of the best I've ever slept in.

However the toilet seat was broken and I almost hurt myself, the plug was missing from the sink, so no possibility of a wet shave or wash. The shower was seriously powerful but was luke warm at best, the bath seal was in serious need of some anti-mould and a bit of TLC. There was a crack in the bedroom ceiling and a stain from a leak, that should have been dealt with.

Then there was the awful night! There was 2 dogs in another room and they didn't stop barking and moaning all night. We are dog lovers but there is a limit and these passed it! We mentioned all this at checkout and only hope these things are corrected. If so this place would be 5*'s all the way

My lovely daughters booked my birthday lunch here yesterday. Cant praise enough. The food was amazing. Every dish we all chose was excellently presented and tasted wonderful. Our server Michaela was so lovely too. Recommending dishes, wine she was so friendly and helpful. My birthday lunch was a great success.l

Room had plenty space and good seating area. Bathroom could do with a hand grab rail to help out of shower/bath to floor. Chelsea and Mark were amazing staff. Breakfast buffet was a let down, yet first day table service breakfast was amazing. Evening dinner 3 course was good. Lack of staff throughout hotel and certainly short for house keeping staff. Pool, jacuzzi and steam room enjoyable and friendly staff. Thank you for an enjoyable break.
