Moorings House Hotel

Wasn't staying here jist popped in for some food with the family but the price you pay for the quality of food is terrible, we went at 5pm, don't know if that's the full menu or not my personal experience wasn't great to be honest, Pan Seared Salmon in a Thai style broth with noodles and Veg.wasn't a broth for a start think it was a boiled kettle poured over cabbage and a few peppers to be honest it had no flavour or seasoning and the noodles are defo out a packet of some sort.18.the people on the next table actually spoke to us when their meal came out about the price they where paying and what was on their plate(fish and chips) the serving staff whoever where nice, won't be back though that's for sure.

Absolutely loved our room. Staff all very accommodating. Breakfast was beautiful.

Lovely staff, nice rooms. Restaurant a bit expensive, but aren't they all these days.

Lovely hotel! Highly recommended. Such a spacious room and comfortable bed. Bathroom was lovely and warm. Tasty breakfast too and super-friendly staff.

Our Lanarkshire BNI Sunrise Business Networking Group arranged a Lunch and Network meeting at the Moorings Motherwell. We would all like to say a big thank you to Holly and all the staff for making us welcome and a the meeting was huge success. The meeting room was arranged perfectly, the lunch was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend the Moorings Motherwell.

I did see once on a program about hotel rooms and guest from nationalities. American would get some of the best room because they complain more and the times when I get a room with a poor view or disable room is more common than I expected. Just a little rant on hotels and not really talking about this hotel. They kindly let me check in early.

Lovely hotel rooms but I'm afraid breakfast was like something out of fawlty towers. Why we needed to pre order our breakfast and time slot I'll never know. Sat for 20 mins waiting for it only to have our breakfast delivered to the table before our cereal. The result was our breakfast must have been sitting while we ate our cereal because when we got it it was cold. I would have complained at the time but we were already 20 minutes late getting away and I had a tight schedule.

Brilliant - very dog friendly too. Lovely bed, lovely room and fab breakfast - they very kindly brought it to my room as my young dog is still quite nervous. Couldn't do enough for you, fabulous service, thoroughly recommend. Thank you!

Outstanding accommodations. Food service is excellent. Service is polite and effective throughout. Quaint old building just off the city center is well re-purposed. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Soon as walked in made to feel welcome. The rooms were spot on the beds are really comfy n breakfast was beautifully. Highly recommend

Went for lunch today I got prawn cocktail it was frozen prawns and sauce full of water so no taste my partner enjoyed his cheesy garlic bread. The menu was minimum so found it difficult to get something I liked my partner got the steak pie with chips asked for no veg this came and was told there is carrots in the steak pie "he is a big boy he. can pick them out himself " this is what the chef had said.

My chicken Thai curry had very little taste I would honestly say it was ok but wouldn't get it again. Bill was 57.50 and tried to tip waitress with card and told they cant do this now. Waitress lovey food below standards

Nice hotel, very nice staff couldn't do enough for you. Food was first class

The staff were very friendly and accommodating with a nice choice of menue. The hotel is very comfortable with a very relaxing atmosphere well worth a visit!

Came for lunch to the restaurant last week, very disappointed with the quality of the food cold undercooked chips and a white toastie with the cheese not even melted inside the smell when I walked in the building was like an elderly care home not very appealing, shame place has potential Too

Friendly staff, dog friendly they were even allowed in the restaurant with us. Very clean and tidy and the food was excellent.

Beautiful building, wonderful hotel. Staff all very welcoming to us and the dogs. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. Will certainly book again when need to be in the area.

Lovely Hotel with good sized rooms, excellent restaurant and pleasant staff. Close to Station and easy access to Motorway.

Service was faultless, very clean hotel, has a good feel about the place. The food was very average though and a bit of a let down (both dinner and breakfast)

Lovely hotel newly refurbished. Enjoyed breakfast. Comfy bed and room. Spotlessly clean. Only problem was a noisy extractor fan in the space outside our room which disturbed my sleep.

Staff lovely. Hotel clean but not spotless. food good, beds amazing had a fantastic sleep. Only real gripe was the bar prices!. Got a soda water. 2 gulp. Then ask for dash of lime. it became 3.20. Wow. But it's fine I took the glass home :p. ( I never really ).

Spent 25 consecutive nights here, 3 rooms for all the family due to work in house. Can not fault anything about our stay. wonderful, friendly, professional staff and management. Always go that little bit above. and beyond. It was a very unsettling time but the whole staff team made it much less stressful for us than we thought it would be having to be out our home. We were actually a bit sad to leave. What a wonderful staff team, such a family atmosphere, thank you to each and every one of you x

Been here many times. Lovely clean hotel. Excellent staff, really exceptional. Would recommend without question.

Absolutely brilliant yet again the staff excelled themselves Lindsay Anna and Connor were absolutely outstanding compliments to the chef for looking after us my birthday weekend

The thing that made our stay was the assistant manager in the restaurant. He was friendly and chatty. He was extremely attentive, he knew what we needed before we even asked. Excellent service from him.

Brilliant value for money. stayed for two nights with my son. breakfast was lovley. reception staff were very friendly and always happy to help. Great hotel near local shops town center ect. Will definitely book again

Fantastic heat at home Christmas dinner for 4. Delicious food with simple reheat instructions. Thoroughly pleased and would definitely do it again. No complaints from anyone and possibly one of the best Christmas meals we've had. Well worth it. Thank you all the staff at Moorings. Happy New year.

Stayed for 3 nights! Staff are wonderful, rooms clean, unfortunately on the last night we had lads slamming doors every 30 seconds & shouting until 3am! We have stayed here 3/4 times and will definitely return despite no sleep on night 3. Pet friendly hotel x

Recently took the family for sunday lunch. I had not been there for some time. Wow! From the moment we were met by the maitre 'd to the moment we left everything was perfect. Although there are no play areas for the children they were treated so well. The food and service was fantastic and great value. We will definitely return soon.
