The Strathaven Hotel

We visited the unique Restaurant and food is cooked perfect. Service is 10 Stars. All. Round. Everyone is on the ball for your needs and food is better than Maximes in London and Paris. Decor is on a par with Hollywood. We love the Outdoor Sky Scenes and surroundings too. Sitting Rooms sumptuous decor and wonderful colours. Will be back often.

I only been here for dinner but my experience was amazing. Food very very delicious and all staff very helpful. Great time and beautiful place to spend some time. I will comeback for sure

Attended a wedding today, can only describe the attention from the moment we entered to the completion of the wedding as 5* The meal was second to none. Would certainly recommend this establishment A very big thank you to all staff.

We had a birthday dinner here and everything was delicious Didn't stay overnight so can't comment on them. Complements to the chef

Thoroughly enjoyable lunch. I had burger brioche with trimming and hubby had haddock and trimmings. Service great, lovely staff.

We had a lovely meal on Thursday. We both had delicious venison & then apple crumble. Excellent meal.

Went there to see a gig. So my review can only be directed towards this. Was an excellent gig experience. PS hotel did look nice.

Stayed for 1 night, lovely room in a beautiful old country house. All the staff were extremely welcoming and made the stay an absolute pleasure. Restaurant was excellent and breakfast was gorgeous. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Big thank you to all the staff.

Visited on the public holiday after Christmas. The hotel was very quiet. Was hoping for coffee and a scone, unfortunately kitchen was closed, only the bar open. But still had a good coffee in lovely surroundings and staff were friendly.

Had a very nice stay here while visiting friends. The staff were absolutely superb, courteous, polite and had a very friendly attitude. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and warm. If I was being very picky the rooms were a little bit on the tired side but you have to take in to consideration that the building itself is very old. We had breakfast on both mornings which was very good, there was plenty to choose from standard toast/continental through to a full cooked breakfast (warning: no beans or black pudding).

Our evening meals were also excellent, on our last night I had Shin of beef which was awesome. Being that it's practically the only hotel in the town they didn't seem to rest on their laurels and I would definitely recommend this hotel, and also take in to account that I'm writing this review while COVID is still creating havoc in the hospitality industry. So excellent job all round I would say.

Very Professional My Mother recently passed away and her home was Strathaven. She loved nothing more than to go up to the Strathaven Hotel for a bite to eat and it seemed only fitting that we arrange for the attendees of her 'Celebration of Life' event to return to the Strathaven Hotel for refreshments after the crematorium service. Planning was handled very professionally.

Our contact, Sheila, did a very good job of staying in touch with us and making sure she had all the info she needed to make it go smoothly. When we arrived the staff was ready for us, welcoming our guests and taking drink orders. The food was brought promptly and served very nicely, almost like a high tea. Shortly after that tea and coffee were served.

We had a lovely large lounge area to sit in, very private and very comfortable. It was a nice sunny day and we were able to have the door open, which was really pleasant. The staff were discreet and attentive. It was a difficult time and we really really appreciated the excellent service we received from the hotel. Thank you very much and would recommend this hotel.

Had my wedding here and loved it the staff made my big day go very smoothly, we booked the full hotel for our guests and they where all very impresed my husband his family stayed the night before our big day an had a lovely evening meal and great breakfast in the morning, the wedding room was packed with all our family an friends and they still had plenty of room to dance the night away.

This is a nice hotel set within lovely grounds. The hotel offers both single and double rooms. They do really nice bar meals here and the service is quick and food good. They also hold various dances, events and weddings. The room in which they hold weddings etc has a twinkly ceiling adding to the atmosphere it has it's own bar and toilets also located within the room.

They have a comfortable lounge again with its own bar so plenty of bars to get yourself a drink if it is busy. The toilets are clean and the staff friendly you get a personal service here.
