Ale was good, and the locals very friendly. The food was not so good. Fish and home cooked chips was terrible, over cooked very small piece of fish, under cooked, soggy inedible chips, probably the worst chips I have ever been served up. Minced beef and onion pie, a bowl of seasoned minced beef in gravy with an over cooked puff pastry top, microwaved mash potatoes and a huge pile of frozen peas.
Food was served in about 5-8 mins of ordering (freshly cooked) I doubt it. On top of the terrible food was the noise from upstairs above the dining area, sounded like a combination of noisy water pipes and children running and jumping around (I appreciate this may be a family run pub), but not the sort of thing you want to hear when sitting down to a meal. Poor food quality was mentioned to the food server and the bar person, but nothing done to rectify it. Would I return-NO.

Absolutely delicious meal tonight at the Masons Arms. Garlic mushrooms were amazing. I had mince and onion pie with chucky chips while my husband had omelette and chips. We could not eat it all. But would like to thank all the staff and chefs for our delicious meal. When we visit our caravan we always go to the Masons Arms for a meal. Looking forward to seeing you again very soon
