Our family has run The Cleve for over forty years and the local community is a passion of ours. Wherever possible we source from local businesses like us and we encourage our guests to visit and explore the local area while with us. Today was not the hotel's finest hour when we were caught in the middle of a wifi issue which controlled the steam room we were using for a treatment at the time! No lights, no steam and two ladies covered in mud - our relaxing day was going rapidly downhill. However unexpected things happen and staff member Maddie redeemed the situation admirably and left us with smiles on our faces. Issues occur but it's how they are dealt with that matters and Maddie did a grand job. Will return again to hopefully experience the treatment in its entirety!

Had a lovely lunch prior to an Ivy Day Spa which was a huge disappointment. To pay 55 pp for nothing much more than a swim was excessive. The sauna didn't seem very hot, the steam room wasn't working, the outdoor jacuzzi was tepid and the indoor hot tub was hot but a little dirty. The slippers provided were a death trap as I slid on the stairs as they had no grip. I won't be returning for the spa but I would have lunch again.

Lovely location and very attentive and welcoming staff. Yummy food and rooms were clean. Shower temperature could not be changed which was a shame, and the sauna and steam room were mediocre, the temperatures could have been much better and constant. Feel like the steam room especially needed a refurbish/ upgrade. Swimming pool nice size and temperature. Would stay again, but was hoping for more spa wise, but otherwise a lovely stay.

Old interesting, large victorian style building. Excellent staff, very accommodating, made up a takeaway breakfast as I had an early start which was really good of them. The room was a bit dated decor wise but all very clean. A very nice coffee shop at the garden entrance to the hotel where breakfast was served or for takeaway teas and coffee sandwiches, cakes, etc. The big downside was no staff on duty the evening I stayed, (Tuesday, ) and no bar or food on sale, which is poor. Otherwise a nice hotel in Wellington Somerset.
