The Lygon Arms has an ideal location for anyone looking for accommodation in Chipping Campden. Situated in the beautiful high street of Chipping Campden, The Lygon Arms is well placed for touring the surrounding Cotswold villages, Stratford upon Avon and Shakespeare Country. For lovers of walking and the senic countryside, The Cotswold Way and Heart of England Walks are close to the town.
Arts and Crafts-inspired garden with intricately designed outdoor spaces in the rolling Cotswold hills. Garden in the Cotswolds containing rare shrubs and plants including the world famous Kiftsgate rose. Surrounded by houses made from local Cotswold stone, it's easy to imagine the market-place alive with the bustle of traders from centuries past.
Our Main House rooms have been refurbished in a traditional country style with special attention to keeping the character of the old building. Each building has been individually designed and includes. The Courtyard Rooms have been rebuilt from the stone and materials of the old barns and Blacksmiths Forge which originally stood in the courtyard of this old Coaching Inn.
In a 16th Century Inn that's a popular choice for later dining where menus make much use of fresh, local produce in the creation of imaginative British style dishes, The Lygon Arms Chipping Campden does not disappoint. Our seasonal British menu marries traditional favourites with more contemporary casual and imaginative fare, complemented by an excellent wine list.

The Lygon Arms could not have been more helpful and pleasant. We were walking part of the Cotswold Way and they let us leave our car in a secure place. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with everything that we could want. Although the hotel is on the main street the room was very quiet. Lunch, dinner and breakfast were all delicious. The hotel has character and I highly recommend it.

We decided to eat at the Lygon Arms based on them having some outdoor seating as we had a dog. The staff were friendly and the service was good. We enjoyed our meal and made use of their high chair for our baby. However, we were told they had no baby changing facilities, which I don't think is acceptable at a restaurant. We were offered a high chair, so why no change facilities? We wouldn't go again based on this.

Strange place. The area with rooms seems dirty outside, food doesn't taste like somebody who knows what they are doing made it. Salads way too salty, specials not available but only told not available when they had already made something else. Service very slow. Bar service was very friendly- the boss much less so.

We stayed in Chipping Campden last week and was struggling to find a restaurant/pub with good vegan options. We stopped in here during the day and although they didn't have any vegan options on their menu, they offered to make us some vegan food for the evening. When we arrived, they had prepared a starter and two mains for us, all of which were delicious and so nice of them to go out of their way to make something off menu. Would highly recommend :

Great pit stop place after our 4 mile walk. A warm welcome from the lady who greeted us, followed by a piping hot coffee and a generous slice of carrot cake. Also a great opportunity to meet 'Jim', an 86 year old local who likes a sing song. (An 'in joke'). When I'm in that part of the country again, I'll definitely book in for a meal, the Sunday roast looked delicious

Brilliant pub/hotel in the heart of the village of Chipping Campden. The hotel offers a variety of rooms both inside the original 16th century pub and in a separate set of small cottages built out of beautiful Cotswold stone and set around a lovely courtyard. Plenty of parking and rear access should you wish to return 'after hours' as we did. "Big Jo", "Little Jo" and the rest of the team will take good care of you and the full English Breakfasts are the best I have had in many years!

Kind staff, nice ancient building, well kept, and pretty good food. The only con of today was the too sunny and hot weather. We missed a parasol, in Albion! One of the best fish and chips after quite a time in the Island. The chips were clearly full home made (next step could be the olive oil ). The salmon with melon an shrimps, very good also. Advisable.

We shared the deep fried prawns in phylo. Over batered and one was just batter (prawn was missing). I had the steak, Stilton, and ale pie. Meh. Skimpy on the meat. Ale was not cooked off so the gravy had a bitter taste. My wife had the pork roast. 1/3 of it was inedible fat. Veg was boiled to death. On the upside the drinks were good and the local atmosphere fun.

Popped in here for a drink while wandering around charming Chipping Campden. The service was really great - we sat at the small bar because it was Sunday and the restaurant was booked up for Sunday roast. Good beer selection, including Cotswolds beers. The gals who work here are really nice and fun, honest locals who treated us as locals even though we aren't. A good place for a drink!

Fabulous meal in Chipping Campden. It was a rainy, cold night, and as soon as you walk in, you feel warm and cosy! The building is beautiful and historic. I love the low ceilings and the exposed beams. The service is fantastic - they made us feel like a local. Super friendly and helpful. The portions are HUGE! Everything was delicious and would definitely go back when in CC!
