The staff couldn't have done any better, especially Mark! The room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was so good it set the bar too high for the rest of our trip! I highly recommend the Luna Simone Hotel.

Super friendly staff, room everything needed, clean and quiet. I had an early start so I couldn't stay for breakfast but that didn't stop being offered coffee and fruit to take with me. Definitely recommend.

Excellent tourist class hotel in a great location in London with Victoria Station a short walk away. The rooms are small, but the hotel is exceptionally clean and the service is very good. The breakfast included is fresh-cooked to order and the service by the two owners is fantastic (and entertaining!). Overall, a great, affordable place to stay in central London.

We loved Luna Simone! It is a perfectly British hotel that is charming and warm. The owners, brothers Peter and Bernard, are lovely. The experience is personal, attentive and very friendly. The breakfast was also tasty. We would visit again!

We spent 6 days here on vacation. This hotel is exceptional. Although the rooms are somewhat small compared to US standards, they are the probably the cleanest and functional that we have stayed in. The breakfast is very good. Served real eggs to your table. The staff here works very hard and it shows. All are helpful and very friendly. Location for our stay was great. Easy access to city sites, many in walking distance. Bus stop out front to anywhere, as well as close by underground locations. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed there a few years back. Most amazing and friendly staff. Helpful with all of our questions while we played tourist. The front desk clerk did take issue when we dropped off cookies and he said his wife had put him on a diet :P

Booked this hotel for a one night stay not really knowing anything about it but wow was so glad we did. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite. When entering the room the initial feeling was that it's small but then why would you need a big room? I have to say that the room was immaculately clean and smelled amazing. Same went for the on-suite.

At breakfast we had the pleasure of meeting the owners, two extremely nice genuine gentleman. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and it's a short distance from both the Wicked and Hamilton shows. Thank you

We just stayed here for nine nights and it was another very positive experience. The brothers & the son of one of them were as wonderful as previously and we really enjoyed seeing them again. We stayed in the same room as the last time - and the bathroom had been renovated (attractively), although the shower is minuscule. Also, the breakfasts were more filling than previously and the WiFi is no longer slow.

This small hotel in an old mid 19th century row house is one of many along Belgrade road. It is distinguished from the others by its central London location and relatively easy access to local pubs and transportation for a reasonable price. The included breakfast (served downstairs) is not to be missed - especially as it is usually served by the twin brothers who are co -owners.

They are delightfully funny and conversational hosts with advice beyond the usual perfunctory touristy inquiries. The rooms and baths ( shower) are small but clean and well maintained. But most visitors do not come to London to spend time in their hotel room, do they? Rooms are mostly upstairs with no lift, so a challenge for the mobility impaired. We met people who have been returning to stay here @ Luna Simone for years and years. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to London.

We booked a last minute trip to London, we were on a budget and was looking for some budget hotel with good reviews and close to proximity of tourist spots and transportation. I am so glad I found this boutique hotel. one of the reason we picked this hotel is because of the free breakfast, since we were on a budget for this travel we want to save some money. Eating out for breakfast will end up paying extra $30 bucks or so. we stayed for 2 nights before heading to Paris.

The check-in was fast and easy, there is no elevator (lift) on this hotel, we have our room all they way on the top floor so it was a little hike going up, they will email you though after you book letting you know about that situation, if your knees and health is not that good i guess you can ask for rooms in the lower level. The owners are so helpful, they gave us tips on how to get to the train, tourist spots etc. and some pointers on what to expect in paris since it will be our first time.

I decided pretty quickly on this small family run establishment for my two nights in London (Thank you, Rick Steves!:) Random side note I learned while looking this place up: Luna Simone is also the name of John Legend and Chrissy Teigen's daughter.) For about 90 us dollars it included breakfast and was a great deal. To keep in mind, it's a 5 (well seemed like 6 if I'm honest) story building in a row of what looks like Georgian houses converted into mainly hotels.

I had booked the last full bed room on the top floor and theres no elevator (still want to call it a lift:) Thankfully within 10 min of my reservation they emailed me letting me know the situation and wanted to know if I was ok with that. They also immediately sent me detailed instructions on how to get to the hotel on the underground when I emailed them and asked.

It was a basic hotel room but there was a large wardrobe with safe, hair dryer, "kettle" for heating water in your room with lots of coffee and tea provided. There were only two pillows on the bed but I found two extra in the closet since I'm a pillow person. The breakfast served in a couple rooms in the lower level was table service and included a full English breakfast, hard boiled eggs, or yogurt, cereals and fruit.

You got juice, toast, and coffee or tea with each meal. it was alot of food for the morning! The two brothers who run the place were on hand to efficiently keep things moving and chat up guests. I didn't interact with them much but for example, a young boy who was into soccer and his mom were saying bye and they asked him if he'd come back when hes a famous footballer.

It was cute. Theres also a huge funny picture of the brothers in the dining area. The area around is very safe and close to pimlico and Victoria stations. I walked to the Theaters showing Hamilton and Wicked. Buckingham palace is ajust under a mile walk, and you can make it to the area with big ben and the eye probably in 20 min or so on foot. Great choice when in London!

This the perfect hotel for London visitors. It's in a terrific neighborhood with pubs and restaurants galore. Transportation is easy, there is a bus stop in front of the hotel, and underground stations nearby. The neighborhood feels safe and there are people out and about. The hotel is wonderful, the owners (brothers) are charming and witty. Our room was spotless and comfy. There are USB ports by the bed/ so handy! Stay here! You will have a great time.

Highly recommended for clean and friendly hotel in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. We've been to London around 10 times and we will only stay here now. Close to two tube stations Victoria and Pimlico. Victoria station has an express train to Gatwick airport. Walking distance to Buckingham palace and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Not luxurious rooms, but perfect for people who get out during the day and just need a nice place to sleep and an English breakfast. Owners are funny and friendly.

Nice clean hotel in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed in a quad room which had sufficient room for us and luggage. Bus 24 which covers the main tourist sights picks up right across the street. Breakfast is a basic English breakfast of egg, bacon and beans or 2 hardboiled eggs or a healthy choice of muesli, yogurt and banana. Plenty of tea, coffee or hot chocolate include. Served by the friendly owners who are more than happy to answer your travel questions.

When 10,000 miles from home, sometimes all you need more than posh and cush is a home away from home. And at affordable pricing, it doesn't get any better than that here. Conveniently located, a 10min walk from Victoria Station, the clean efficient room combined with a fulfilling English breakfast to kickoff the day, plus helpful friendly staff, was just what we needed.

The owners/brothers Peter and Bern greeted us at breakfast the first morning (and almost every morning), kept us laughing so hard that all the weariness from jet lag effortlessly dissipated. Insightful and helpful, these two bright souls are a joy to be around. The rooms are in two adjacent buildings; ours faced the back and was very quiet. Will definitely stay here again if we return to London. There's a little grocery at the corner for convenient water and necessities.

My wife and I recently spent 7 nights at Luna Simone. Two months previously, when we made our reservations, we had spoken to Peter asking for a quiet room in the rear. When we checked in, Mark, his nephew, knew about the request and had us set up in the ideal room. The room was clean, comfortable and modern. We were able to open the window at night and adjust the heat in the morning when we woke up.

Breakfast was delicious and hot, and the coffee was wonderful. I happen to like cream in my coffee, so when my wife mentioned this to Peter, I had cream on the table every morning even though I protested that I did not need it. Bus # 24 was just outside the door to take us to most tourist sights. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the hotel.

This is such an awesome hotel that feels homey and a little like a bed and breakfast inn -- rooms are clean, and affordable, staff (owner brothers) are super nice and helpful, location is a convenient 5-6 min walk from the Pimilco underground station. My friend found this hotel in her Rick Steves guide book and it was great-- highly recommend!

This hotel was in the West End and very close to the theater where they play Wicked, which we saw, and was wonderful. Nice place but no elevator so if you have an issue with stairs make sure you are on the lower levels. We had to carry luggage up four floors and it was a lot of steps from the room to the free breakfast and back to the room and then out again. God forbid you forgot something! One of the better free breakfasts with a very friendly staff. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. 4 stars and recommended.

My wife and I stayed at the Luna for 5 days on a recent trip to London. We could not have been happier with the accommodations. The location, about a 5-10 minute walk to the Victoria Station, couldn't be more convenient. Having a major train, bus and underground hub so close by is a real plus. The area is also very safe at night. While the rooms are small by American standards, they are very comparable to other European hotels that we have stayed in and this place is absolutely spotless.

We asked for a quiet room and were given #9 which didn't disappoint. Our window opened to the courtyard so the room was quiet at night. Not a lot of plumbing noise that you sometimes get with the boutique hotels. Free Internet service and a number of free options for breakfast make this a great choice when you're staying in London. We have recommended the Luna to family and friends without hesitation. Turns out it's a favorite of Rick Steves and his travel consultants as well.

We visited this hotel in October of 2012. Let me say this was after a visit to a hotel that was almost 3 times as expensive a mile away, and Luna Simone blew them out of the water! The brothers who work here clearly pour their heart and soul into making every customer happy. We felt like our every wish was taken care of and with a smile too. The only knock for me was that I am 6'6 and in a twin bed I was fairly challenged, but this should not be a knock on the hotel and will not affect 99% of their customers. Very pleased do not hesitate to book here!

Really lovely. The rooms are quite small, but very clean. The bathroom was very clean and obviously recently updated. Breakfast was good, especially once we realized you can substitute from what is on the "menu". The brothers who run this hotel are the nicest hoteliers I have ever encountered. The neighborhood is quite nice, there are many excellent restaurants nearby, and the tube is only 5 minutes away. Rooms in the back are much quieter than those on the street.

This was our second trip to London so I knew that rooms in London are generally on the shoebox side. It's ok because you aren't spending much time in your room anyway. The hotel is very close to the Pimlico station-about a 7 minute walk. There are some restaurants a few blocks up so you don't have to go very far if you don't want to make a huge effort to find a place to eat.

Staff are extremely friendly-some of the nicest people at any hotel EVER (well so far anyway). They serve a free breakfast in the morning-you have a choice of juice and cereal, eggs and baked beans, or cold ham with tomato slices. Probably not my favorite breakfast ever but since it's included you can't really complain. I mean, it's table service too!

One thing-if you're taking a cab back to the hotel.cab drivers tend to be a bit tricky if they see you are staying at a hotel. I had a few of them ask if we were going to a house or one of the hotels-does it matter? No it does not except that the meter is ticking as they take you the extra long route. One night we had a reservation at Cinnamon Club.

Found out later it should have been a quick cab ride but the driver took us all over the place and we ended up spending about 20 pounds on that one way cab ride. We'll know better next time but really, shame on London cab drivers for pulling that crap. You might want to pretend you live in one of the neighboring houses if you do take a cab back to the hotel.

TOP VALUE-IMPECCABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE They were kind and even anticipatory when travel haze left me unusually muddled. I saw this same patience and courtesy extended to patron after patron. My room was wonderful, light-filled, quiet and on a lower floor than originally assigned after I let them know stairs were possible but challenging. Their suggestion of the door-front #24 bus provided its own marvelous tour of London sites and proved a highlight of its own. I highly recommend this central, comfortable, customer-centric hotel as a top value in one of the world's great, but most hideously expensive, cities.

For a first experience with an English hotel, my wife and I lucked out with the Luna Simone. It is not always easy to find the right place to stay when you are visiting a foreign country, especially for first time travellers like us, but we are very glad that we chose the Luna Simone. Nice rooms, good pressure in the showers, very helpful staff, and walking distance to the Victoria station. What more do you need? I would highly recommend the Luna Simone to anyone visiting London, and we will definitely stay there again next time we come to England.

Well appointed rooms, quality showers, and a lovely balcony made our stay and Luna Simone a pleasant and enjoyable experience. I have never reviewed a hotel before, so I'm not entirely familiar with the metrics one may find informative. For me, Luna Simone was exactly what I was looking for in a London hotel. It is located just 10 minute walk from Victoria Station where the Gatwick Express dropped us off, and within walking, busing, or "undergrounding" distance from everything you'd want to visit.

The rooms are certainly not huge, but the bed was quite comfortable and came with a lockbox and flat screen TV. The shower was of good size with excellent water pressure, and towels were changed every day. Perhaps the most pleasant surprise was a small balcony overlooking the front entrance. Once I figured out how to work the door handle, we were able to take some charming balcony photos and let in a gentle breeze.

The complimentary breakfast was efficient and convenient, but not the sort of thing for which you'd chose the hotel. Just a handful of traditional British breakfast items and tea with milk. Can't ask for much more, couldn't expect much less. The best part of breakfast was the hotel staff, two brothers and what we assume are their families. all seeming to have a lot of fun running their hotel.

Overall it was a lovely experience. If you're looking for something centrally located, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you want something within walking distance of the Gatwick Express that is on a quiet street, the Luna Simone Hotel is for you.

This is the first place I ever stayed in outside of North America. My room was small, but the staff was friendly. It wasn't terribly expensive, and was fine for what I needed it for. I mean, I hardly spent any time in the hotel room except for sleeping and showering, so as long as it was clean (which it was) I was happy. The complimentary breakfast hit the spot in the morning, and I made my way to Belgium.

My only issue was finding the place, but that's just because the map I had was wrong and I didn't realize that streets make no sense in London. Even when I asked people for help, nobody seemed to know where the hotel was. Oh well. I eventually found it and all was good. If you need a decent place to crash and don't want to spend an arm and a leg, you could certainly do a hell of a lot worse than Luna Simone.

Great hotel, conveniently located to Victoria and Pimlico stations. N24 bus picks up right outside the door. Friendly staff. Tidy, small rooms. Good breakfast. Beware the steps if you have limitations or a ton of luggage - there is no lift. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
