I stayed at the lodge for 2 nights for my daughter's wedding. It was a very enjoyable experience. The staff were very attentive, the rooms were immaculate, the setting of the lodge, on the shores of Loch Lomond is perfect and the views are fantastic. The food at the wedding breakfast was delicious and hot when it was served. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Oh goodness, just the most stunning rooms. We booked the Travis Suite and were not disappointed. Front desk man (who's name we unfortunately cannot remember) organised parking for our 7m camper and was lovely to deal with. The room itself was decorated to an incredibly high standard, and the three course room service we ordered was to die for, ate it on the veranda with a view of the lake.

There was an event on which is the only thing that let it down, whilst we know events are often loud there was about 2 solid hours of just ABBA playing around the resort which is enough to drive anyone to madness, a heads up would have been lovely but for the most part unless we were outside the rooms were soundproofed enough and I doubt it's often an event has one terrible, terrible band on for an entire evening.

Had a awesome time at my sisters wedding here. Great hospitality. Lovely venue. Amazing location. Bedrooms were very spacious. Excellent showers. Excessive pillows. Bed was a bit too soft for my liking. We were also a little hot at night and the fan was as a bit noisy. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food we had went down well, although I expected a little better considering the price.

I didn't have chips but they looked like the ones you get from McDonald's. Although some of the dishes looked very nice and the menu was quite extensive and some unique choices. The breakfast was bog standard.

Very good place. Very helpful staff. Great food, nice ales and a lovely place for a wedding. Beautiful setting, great rooms and and an all-round wonderful experience. My apologies to Stephanie (at the check in desk) over the bed sofa that was prepared. I realized after that all was okay.

I have never written a negative review before but feel very strongly. My family and I stayed at the lodge and yes the views are beautiful, the rooms are clean and well stocked, although our bathroom extractor fan and heated towel rail didn't work, this wasn't the end of the world. The lodge does have the Scottish feel with Tartan carpets and open fires, but the decor does feel a little dated.

However the staff are all quite young and although this in itself is not an issue, they don't seem to have been given training or ongoing support, leading to service issues. We ate in the restaurant and a server accidentally dropped a bottle of coke, I didn't realise how much had gone over me until after I had cleaned my daughters top. No one checked how we were until we complained and then they offered to clean my top.

I left most of my meal due to sitting in wet clothes, and it made a very sad end to the evening. I have contacted the lodge via various different means with no reciprocal communication. They are building a spa and after reading quite a few reviews on Trip Advisor, they need to work on customer service now to make sure they have customers for the new facilities.

Once again I don't write this review lightly, I feel that the lodge could be so much better with a management team that supports and trains its staff, and cares about its customers when things go wrong.

Lunched here today with friends. Party of 5. Enjoyed the chickpea fritters, goats cheeses tart, 2 rounds of sandwiches and the gnocchi. Table service was excellent and any issues were dealt with promptly. Beautiful views across the Loch, even on a dreary day. Will definitely return.

We stayed here for two nights last week and our time there was excellent, the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them, great food and drink, we will be back. As my wife is wheelchair dependant the only problem was the size of the shower room almost impossible to use a wheelchair in it, would be a great deal better if the shower room door opened outwards.

The location and the scenery are second to none! However couldn't find the restaurant, poorly sign posted. Felt like I was on a scavenger hunt. Ended up going elsewhere. No harm meant just couldn't find the entrance to the restaurant. Maps said I had arrived yet in reality I was at a hotel check in. With no signs to point me in the directions of the restaurant, perhaps I'm being daft and just not looking but couldn't find it

Excellent view on the lake, took great care of two unexpected walk ins for breakfast and let us leave our luggage while we went up 600 meters. Radiates class and a general sense if hospitality.

The view from the room was amazing. We had dinner on site, and the food and atmosphere were perfect. The bathroom was open to the rest of the room, so make sure you really like the person you go with.

Fine dining it's not. Good, wholesome, bar meal type food. But the staff leave a lot to be desired. I think, like a lot of places these days they have to rely on inexperienced, indifferent staff. In fact, the indifference of the bar staff member, who took my order, was such that I left with my poorly prepared drinks, offended. The location however is stunning, and the building is very nice.

Fantastic hotel! Got married here last sunday. The perfect day. The staff treated the wedding as if it was for a family member. Couldn't be any more helpful. Attention to detail was unbelievable. The way the worked with our suppliers and our guests was amazing. The food was out of this world. Every single guest commented on how amazing the food was especially that gravy! Unbelievable! Guests all spoke very highly of the rooms and the saunas which i never got the time to try!

But honestly cannot recommend this hotel/wedding venue enough. Special shout out to our wedding coordinator Samantha. Because of you our day was flawless and perfect, thank you so much.

Came here for a wedding the prices are a tad expensive but they normally are In a posh hotel. We came here for a wedding and it was a lovely day the service was fantastic throughout the day and the room we had was superb we had views of the loch the room was massive with a lovely layout and a balcony to sit out on which was nice. I would stay again if we came back it was lovely I would highly recommend to anyone

The room was clean, but it seems some places are not. For instance, I found a spider with big net inside the room up the window. Also, in 6:50 in the morning the fire alarm scared me and my children, I even get injured in my leg. It was a terrible experience. Further more, when it is raining you cannot stay in the balcony, because the roof is leaking. I will give the reception 5 stars. They are awesome and helpful. the restaurant food was one of the best in Loch Lomond.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night break here in one of the suites. It has been 25 years since we last visited! Although there was a wedding taking place on all four afternoons/evenings they did not affect our stay and we were never disturbed by the celebrations. The suite was very comfortable and met all of our needs.

Got married here, best time ever! The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly and ensured everything ran smoothly. The place is gorgeous in the perfect setting. Brilliant atmosphere, clean, beautiful rooms, just a magical place to be the only downside was that we had to leave! Thank you Lodge on Loch Lomond for the best time of our lives! Xxx

It is in a beautiful location. The scenery stunning to say the least. The signage very poor especially for someone who has never been there before - a weary traveller from Ayrshire. The entrance very confusing. The restaurant was lovely but some staff more attentive than others. We asked for the bill twice before having to go up ourselves. The portion size was out of proportion e.g. my husband had loads of hummus left because he only received a few crackers.

The leisure facilities had no staff there - you were left to your own devices to find out how everything worked. The lockers were complicated - again signage very poor. Nothing flowed properly. Quite disappointing really. We got this as a gift - not sure if I'd go out of my way to return.

Beware of reservations charging you for the hotel but switching you to the Inn. Imagine how shocked we were coming to the hotel at 11:30 pm and being told we had to go elsewhere. The most horrible experience I have ever had. The Inn is obviously not as nice as the hotel and the accommodations are a lot worse. They did not reimburse us for the difference.

We had to stay in a horrible room with a spider crawling the walls. We asked to speak with s manager but no one was around. They completely took advantage of us knowing we were tourists. Will never come back or recommend this place.

I had a lovely one night stay over the weekend that was a birthday gift for my partner. We had the deluxe bed and breakfast stay with dinner included in the cost (worth 150). Service upon arrival was fantastic and and were quickly checked in and given directions to our room (thank goodness!) The room was spacious and had its own sauna which was super cool.

Each room had a balcony and the shower/sinks had an interesting layout without a door, but somehow fitted well with the design of the room. It was quite rustic in terms of design and I've rated one less star because the room was dusty (I pulled up the blind and heaps of dust fell on me) and the walls appear to be paper thin (10pm and I could hear conversations through the wall and children carrying on in the hallway).

The views from the room look directly over the lake and mountains in the background which was utterly breathtaking. So onto food. We were seated by the window with great views of the lake again. Service was prompt and friendly which was lovely. For starters: bread with oil and balsamic, and scallops with black pudding. Both pretty good and the scallops were cooked well. Mains: beef burger and the rib eye cooked rare. Again, both good, not amazing though. Dessert was the peanut butter parfait which was clumsily plated but tasted good.

Overall it was. good. There was really nothing that stood out or wowed me though. Breakfast the following day was good, we had the classic Scottish breakfast which was hot and tasted good, but again nothing remarkable. Overall a lovely stay due to the views of the lake. It was generally peaceful and relaxing and a really great gift idea.

Decent food. But the service is shit. Great views and a lovely ambiance. It would be a fantastic location if the staff were more competent. I waited 30 minutes for a coffee and another 30 for my meal. My starter was delivered with my main course. Amateur management and staff.

I stayed at this wonderful hotel for one night. My partner and I had a brilliant top floor room with a balcony overlooking the loch- it was absolutely stunning! The room was spacious, comfortable and had all the necessary facilities. We particularly liked the quirky idea of having the bath and the shower in the same room as the bed- it made for an interesting experience! We dined in the restaurant and it was fantastic! The variety of food and wine was great and the quality was second to none.

We were just passing through on a tour and enjoyed a quick lunch at The Lodge. And, unfortunately, the weather wasn't much to get excited about. But, the grounds and accomodations here looked spectacular: golf course, gorgeous lake and fabulous grounds and buildings. I would definitely stay here and when I looked at their website later - it looks like the interior of the cottages is as modern and luxurious and they appear from the outside. The food: no complaints; everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered. The local oysters got rave reviews and my salmon was very tasty. I'd return.

The Lodge on Loch Lomond is a truly unique hotel. It is situated in Luss which is about 30 minutes from Glasgow city centre. The scenery surrounding this four star hotel is truly breathtaking and makes you feel proud to be Scottish. The hotel sits right on the edge of the loch with nothing but beautiful hills for as far as the eye can see. Even on a typically drizzly Scottish day it looks stunning. It's hard to believe all of this is so close to the hustle and bustle of the city.

All the rooms and suites in the hotel have a different theme and when I have visited this hotel I have always stayed in one of the Munro rooms. I found them to be a perfect blend of the traditional and the modern, good woolen Scottish blankets on the beds, paintings of the local surroundings on the walls, stuffed bears sitting beside your pillows but also a plasma TV, DVD player, leather couches and immaculate wet room style bathrooms.

The dining room is terrific. It has huge floor to ceiling windows giving panoramic views of the Loch which give the impression that the room is floating on the water. The food is delicious and modern European in style. If you can't push to a stay in the hotel it is worth taking a drive up just to pop in for some lunch or dinner. I have been to a wedding in this hotel and the couple got some stunning pictures due to the fabulous surroundings.

The hotel is also very flexible and willing to meet most requests to make your wedding day special and personal. The Lodge on the Loch has an awarding spa which unfortunately I have never had a treatment in. However some facilities are open to all hotel guests as a matter of course and they are fantastic and immaculate. I have used the laconium, Turkish hamman and the Finnish sauna, absolute bliss!

This review is only for the restaurant at the Lodge as I have never had the pleasure of staying on the premises. It doesn't get better than this, The Lodge is located right on Loch Lomond itself. This is an absolutely stunning location. The scenery from the restaurant is breathtaking. The menu is based around scotish specialities and the meal we had was the tastiest I have had of its type ever.

The staff were very friendly and eager to please. The decor was very comfortable yet stylish. It's a long way from where I live in South Wales. But seriously this place is only accessible by car as the location is fairly remote. Beware of the midges by the Loch.

We stayed here during the summer of 2008 for a couple of nights, and were astounded by this fantastic hotel. Terrific views over the Loch, impeccable service in the restaurant, THE comfiest rooms (with Loch views!), a superb pool and spa area, and the best customer service I have received in a long time. This is a great place for a romantic getaway, perfect for anniversaries. And a good base from which to explore the Scottish lochs.

Hi, I stayed at the place quite a few times 2003-2005 and every visit was spot on. I was in the area for work and pleased that this place was so close. The rooms were good, always v.clean and v.tidy, good power showers (no trickles in the morning) large baths, nice saunas (in the room!) the beds were very snoozy, and the in room internet (via the tv) was very appreciated.

The views are quite litterally to die for, bizarrely i used to look forward to arriving late at night and going out onto the balcony in the pitch black to appreciate the place, its vastness (the view) is something i have rarely appreciated anywhere else. The view of the sky is also pretty awesome as you'd imagine for somewhere 'out of town'.

The lobby, and bars were excellent with a nice selection of local drams! and a good selection of beers. The comfy leather chairs looking out over the loch in a relaxed atmosphere is something worth appreciating. The food was also great! the haggis fritters were an awesome intro to haggis, the steaks are all incredible (local and fresh) and the chocolate mouse was awesome, can almost still taste it now I had the luxury of staying in the new wing/building on my last visit and that didnt disapoint, the pool was incredible and very relaxing! check out the ceiling;) and the room was spacious, comfy and well decked out.

The bath behing the bed was inovative and welcomed as was the large bath and new shower I'll defeintly be returning one day. no doubt with a big smile on my face as i arrive Eddie. ps. I suspect this place is brilliant for an escape wknd for a couple not had the joy yet;)

Relatively new and quite fancy resort on the shores of Loch Lomond, near the village of Luss. I was there for a friend's wedding, and it was very nice. They have rooms to stay, multipurpose halls for celebratory events like receptions and meals and dances, and all overlooking the beautiful Loch and Ben Lomond. The food they served at the wedding was very good: traditional Scottish, but done quite fancily.

First course of smoked salmon was superb; next was haggis and neeps and tatties in a little haute-cuisine stack; and the main was a brilliant lamb cutlet. Like many in Scotland, it's a big resort for golfers. They also cater to all sorts of famous guests (Bill Clinton, for example, as the night manager kept reminding us). Another minor diversion: the Lodge, like many hotels, has umbrellas for use by guests.

When I was there, people - even non-Lodge guests - were nabbing these left and right as the rain came and went over the course of the weekend. We noticed these words written on the bright yellow canvas: This umbrella stolen from Loch Lomond Lodge.
