The Langrish House Hotel is a picture postcard manor house set in romantic rolling countryside and steeped in history. Staff were attentive, friendly and polite. Breakfast was served promptly and delicious with a generous quantity of tea/coffee to start the day. The room offered to us was spacious and comfortable with en suite facilities and a very large comfortable bed.
Our only comment here would be that the room was rather warm overnight. This did not detract from enjoying our day. Overall, ours was an enjoyable stay and I would recommend this hotel to those looking for a quiet stay in beautiful surroundings.

A beautifully set bed and breakfast in an old country house. We attended a party hosted at Langrish House and stayed the night afterwards. As a venue it was great, the party was held in an old tutor style hall with a balcony bar, there was a dance floor and plenty of space for up to 70 or so. The staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was tasty with a full English, toast and filter coffee on tap.
Overall the place was spotlessly clean, well kept and felt like value for money. Perhaps not where I'd choose for a romantic break as the bedrooms I saw were small and facilities were basic, but for a weekend break with your dog - great!

Customer service was great by the staff. Especially Robina. No request was too small. The house is stunning & clean. Breakfast was well cooked & the right size with lots of choice. Just a couple of suggestions:- A tea & coffee station in the drawing room & a small bar to enjoy a cold glass of beer/wine in the lovely gardens after a walk. Would stay there again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Langrish House is a 17C mansion owned on and off by the Talbot-Ponsonby's since the 1860s, and their descendants now run it as a fine country house hotel. It has conference and wedding facilities but I only know the comfortable rooms in the main part of the house, which have modern brightly lit bathrooms and power showers and good views of the 14 acres of grounds.
The restaurant is plain but there are wood fires in winter and the food is exceptionally good. We had cornish crab and avocado timbale and wild vension and superb puddings which were washed down with Brown Bros Muacat. There's a good wine list with acceptable house wines (18) and well as reasonably priced others ones such as Gavi di Gavi (24). Breakfasts can be the usual full English and variations and there's strong espresso coffee for those that prefer it.
Most of the public rooms have family photos and artefacts dotted around, so one can easily feel that one is staying with friends. The house boasts cellars dug by Royalist prisoners captured during the Battle of Cheriton and who were then imprisoned in them and history continues in nearby East Meon which is a beautiful 18thC village with an historic church. Dinner, bed and breakfast is 190 for two and 110 for one.
