We've stated here twice. Last year we were given one of the flats, which had a kitchenette and two bedrooms. Perfect for our family. Yes it was dated and lacking in some areas, but it was fine. Clean and usable. This year however, we requested a similar room as we stayed for 6 nights and wanted to have a fridge and some space in which to move around.
Unfortunately we were given a tiny room in the main block, just above the smoking area, so we had to breathe in smoke until the early hours (can't shut windows if it's that hot. It's boiling in there!). The shower was like standing under an old lady p!ss!ng, as my husband said, the bath was TINY and narrow, the shower curtain smelled damp, the toilet roll holder fell off the wall, the cleaners didn't clean anything in the entire 6 days and we had nothing to clean the bath out with ourselves, they need shelves in the bathroom and a cupboard, you can't even pee without being touched by something as it's so small in there.
No fridge. We have a toddler and had to buy new milk daily for her bottle and chuck any that had gone off, wasting our money. The idea was to make lunches in the hotel to take out to the beach etc but no fridge meant we had to eat out, meaning our holiday cost hundreds of pounds more than we'd budgeted for. The hotel is extraordinarily loud. People were up smoking, shouting, banging doors until 1am and up again at 6am.
None of us slept properly. I had earplugs and white noise on full blast next to my head and still heard snoring ALL NIGHT. I lost it and shouted. I was seriously fed up. The pool is lovely to have but the jacuzzi is lukewarm and the pool clearly doesn't get a daily clean. The showers are good there though so we used them instead of our awful room shower. 1 for 15 mins of a sh!t lukewarm bubble bath basically - that's the jacuzzi.
Staff generally friendly but manager/owner/whoever he is was really rude when we were 15 mins late leaving after checkout time. Why were we late? Because we had to attempt to get ready in a sh!th0le whilst trying to fix broken things in the room! Nearly divorced my husband whilst there. The entire experience will not be repeated. Next year it'll be Turkey for LESS than we spent here! No wonder the British holiday thing is dying out.

When i booked i was quoted 207 by manager. When i checked my debit card he took 407. When i called he said it was mistake i could cancel if i wanted to. I should have it is worst hotel i have ever stayed in. When i arrived he said he had forgotten his mistake. Customer service disgusting. Room dirty and never cleaned in 3 days. Pool dirty. Atmosphere depressing Had to ask for extra baked beans as they gave you 5 beans. To sum up everything was bad. I would advise anyone going to bournemouth keep away from this hotel

Small room, very small bathroom somehow with a bath crammed in. Could barely move in there with the door shut. Not super clean but also cheap so wasn't a massive issue. Parking seems to be just throw your car anywhere, our car got boxed in. Walls are super thin, could hear people in all the rooms around me during the night. It's an OK stay if you are looking for somewhere cheap.

Stayed here to visit family locally. The rooms are very basic, clean and tidy but a no frills hotel. The bathroom was clean but shower difficult to get to the correct temperature. The hotel is noisy and people moving around the hotel can be heard at all hours as well as the traffic on the nearby flyover. The main reason for staying here was price, it was around half the price of the nearest Premier Inn, but at a standard several levels lower.
On the positive note the hotel is easy to access the chine park and walk down to the lower gardens and central Bournemouth. There is a Co-op supermarket within a few minutes walk.

On arrival, Easy to find using sat nav, small parking area next to the road, more parking round the back, not easily sign posted. Lady on the desk was very polite and gave lots of information about the hotel and how to get into town and to the beach. The room, A nice size room with hanging rail for clothing. Desk with shelf storage. Little bedside tables with night lights.
Room included a TV and a kettle with cups and glasses. We had a double and a single bed. Very comfortable to sleep on, fresh linen sheets and blanket, very lovely pillows. The bathroom was quiet small, not much space to move while using the toilet. Shower head over the bath with hot water. Fresh body and hand towels in the room. Other things on site we didn't get a chance to use.
Lovely gardens with seating, pool and games room on site looked nice. There is also a restaurant and bar. Overall a great little hotel, 15 mins walk to the beach. Will definitely be coming back to visit again.

Cleanliness of room was terrible. Bathroom didn't look like had been cleaned. Bed throws full of dirty marks. Worst apparently clean room we have stayed in. Not worth the 88 we paid. Very noisy, banging doors. Could even hear someone snoring. Very outdated. Definitely in need of some TLC and new cleaners. Breakfast was expensive so we didn't bother. When speaking to the staff, all we got was a sorry, not good enough. Won't be staying again.

When stuck in the UK, pending a reduction in covid restrictions and desperate to get out to the Philippines, it helps to have a comfortable base from which to monitor when (if.), their London Embassy re-opens this year - which is highly unlikely. With airlines operating a strict "No visa, No fly" policy, that means too many expensive months in local Hotels (booking bnb impractical when you cannot provide accurate dates), so I was as happy as circumstances allow to find a comfy room in the Laguna Hotel. Based just up from Bournemouth Gardens and below what was the old West Station, between Bournemouth town centre and Westbourne, it is a shambling, rambling collection of ex-private houses, all around a central hotel core (which contains the Reception, Restaurant, Bar and other essentials), and I am now in one of their "Annexes", in an old but large (two windows), en-suite double room - which even has a bath.
Parking is included and plentiful - though you may have to battle with one of their fleet of coaches in summer months, for a place - and their (free) WiFi works - everywhere on site. I haven't tried their restaurant or swimming pool yet - but both are open and seem popular with other residents. The Service is helpful and friendly, the bar is cosy and can be quite entertaining - then you can stroll into the town centre in a few minutes, for all the culinary & cultural content that this famous seaside town has to offer.
Would I stay here again.? After a couple of months in appallingly awful Britannia hotels in Bournemouth (don't), it was especially pleasant to stay in an independent, family-run establishment like this one - so that is a resounding Yes.

Very good value at the price. Some rooms - in the main building at least - have been refurbished. There are several outbuildings containing extra hotel rooms. There was no hairdryer in mine so best to bring your own. But lighting was good and there were plenty of mirrors and a comfortable bed. In some rooms, the showers require very fine adjustment but they work well.
There is a nice swimming pool in a separate building. You can use it even when no staff are present. Parking in the rambling car park can be a bit tight if the hotel is full and a fleet of coaches is based here so best to arrive early to get a good space. Only a short walk to the seafront.

Highly accommodating hotel and very helpful staff. Good facilities the swimming pool is great especially with little ones. The rooms however are dated it could do with modernising, that being said they were very clean. A little overpriced for what you get and the bar area could have done with some weekend entertainment or something to liven things up but all in all an enjoyable stay.

We have just come back from a two night stay. Sadly we found hairs in the sink and bath. Bed blankets had holes in them, carpets were thread worn very out dated. But also we disnt pay much and it was very busy with guests. Our room was close to the main road with lots of traffic had to have windows open as it was so hot. Lots of drunk guest standing below our window talking at 3 am and smoking sadly this woke our daughter.
We had two nights with very little sleep. Breakfast wasn't great but filled a hole. Swimming pool had lessons on when we were their so sadly wasn't able to enjoy as we were hoping to. Close to beach and all that we needed. Great space to stop over night at a low cost. Staff were lovely

I booked to stay here as it was reasonably priced and near the centre of Bournemouth. I stayed in the main hotel which is in need of refurbishment: the bath felt unsteady when showering and I felt I had gone back in time. Due to the thinness of the doors, rooms and in no way soundproof. The cleaning needs to be improved. I used the pool which was pleasant, but again in need of thorough cleaning and a refresh.

Would you like to arrive at your vacation rental and discover you didn't have your oxygen? We arranged for oxygen equipment to be delivered for my 85 year old mom, who requires continuous oxygen support, due to her emphysema. The oxygen company also confirmed delivery with the owner. On the day of our arrival, he refused to allow the oxygen company to deliver the equipment.
In addition to this problem the TV did not work properly, there were no instructions for the remotes and no list of channels. We had to buy our own toilet paper, bath soap and cleaning supplies. There were no filters for the coffee pot. Oh yes, they didn't bother to hook up the wifi either, when I called about that problem. One of the bathrooms had dried urine in the toilet seat and hair on the door from some attempt to clean. The owner was not the least bit apologetic for any of these problems, even his refusal to sign for the oxygen.
