Services
Having travelled with the gypsies of Granada and across North Africa and the Middle East, he was inspired by Islamic and Moorish design he had seen and commissioned Sir Charles Barry (who would later designs the Houses of Parliament) to create a "showpiece" house. He added the current Drawing Room and Dining Room and Islamic turrets on the walls of the garden.
The kitchens at Soughton have been serving food to discerning guests for almost 300 years and we are proud to continue that tradition into the present day. Fresh, local and seasonal produce is the hallmark of our menus. William Meek is our head chef at Soughton. William leads a dedicated team of chefs to work to create everything from the best Welsh breakfast to banquets for 200. There is one constant - William's ability to deliver outstanding flavours where the quality of the produce shines through.
Our luxurious event spaces really couldn't be any further from a character-less conventional conference room. With double height ceilings, tapestry lined walls and south facing windows overlooking the sweeping driveway and walled gardens, your delegates are bound to be inspired. Whether you're seeking to arrange your corporate event day in the great outdoors or in the ornate setting of the main hall, our flexible function suites and beautiful outside spaces can cater for all your team building needs.
The Coach House sits in the estate of Soughton Hall, a Grade II* listed house, built in 1720 and remodelled in 1820 by Sir Charles Barry, who went on to design the Houses of Parliament. Today, Soughton has been transformed from the seat of the Wynne-Bankes' into a luxury wedding and event venue. The Coach House was the home of the horses and carriages for the estate and has been sensitively restored to combine its original character and features with a relaxed, contemporary interior. With the Coach House exclusively yours, the space and its grounds become the backdrop to the day of your dreams.

I visited Soughton Hall for a wedding. The venue and grounds are absolutely stunning and the setting made for a grand yet intimate occasion. The rooms and bedrooms are elegantly decorated in keeping with the period. The staff were always available in the background. Congratulations to them all for a beautiful venue.

My husband and I married at Soughton Hall in North Wales last October and we couldn't have possibly wished for a better venue. When you book your wedding at Soughton you are ensuring that your day will be seamless and elegant. Each meeting with Kayleigh (our wedding planner) was welcoming and informative. The grounds and the house are stunning and so very cosy.

Each corner of the property is a beautiful photo opportunity. The bedrooms are spacious, timeless and memorable; my favourite thing about the venue was that my family will never forget the service and comfort they felt in their amazing rooms. The North Tower is particularly beautiful. The staff are so professional, we felt very taken care of during the night by Kayleigh, Cheryl and Stephen. Soughton Hall in the autumn will always have a special place in our hearts. If you're looking for a wedding venue that can guarantee you a perfect day, you can depend on Soughton Hall. Stunning location and really does scream luxury. The building is fantastic open log fires, panel walls beautiful painting. Beer prices are reasonable and the marquee in the back is stunning too.

Cracking place, lovely location friendly helpful staff nothing to much trouble, food was wonderful. One little complaint was that it was very hot inside rooms and bedrooms but could be turned down in room on radiators. We stayed on ground floor lovely big spacious bed and a really big bathroom with walk in shower, breakfasts next morning was brilliant great choice and well cooked would highly recommend this place as we enjoyed the whole wedding day night here thank you.

Visited this fabulous place for a wedding reception in their marquee. First of all, when you arrive in darkness and approach it along the impressive tree-lined drive this magnificent building stuns you you with it's grandeur. It's equally as gorgeous inside with wonderfully friendly and hardworking staff. A really historic building; check it out online for its story.

A toasty warm reception hall with an open fire greets you before you make your way through number of cosy sheeting areas to a well stocked bar. Perfect for a wedding reception, the beautifully decorated marquee with its own bar and dance floor, plus separate lounging area is just ideal. Has to be the best wedding reception venue we've been to!

Wow! Where to begin? We recently got married at Soughton Hall and our wedding was a dream from start to finish thanks to everybody at Soughton Hall. We had originally booked to get married in Spain which was postponed 3 months before the original big day due to Covid and then cancelled the year after. After the cancelled wedding we decided to get married nearer to home.

I searched for venues on the internet and as soon as we stumbled across Soughton Hall we knew it was the place we would get married. It was the only venue we organised to view in the UK, it was truly love at first sight. We only had 6 months to organise everything for our summer 2021 wedding but everything slotted into place so perfectly. My family and I absolutely loved our visits to Soughton Hall.

From the original walk around to food tasting, we loved it all. Every time we drove down that truly majestic driveway, we fell in love with the place a little more. The hall itself and the grounds surrounding it are so beautiful, it is like something out of a fairytale. My bridal party and I had the opportunity to stay in The Lodge the night before which we absolutely loved.

The welcome platter and bottle of prosecco was such a lovely touch! We moved into the main hall at 6am and had a lovely breakfast whilst we got ready. When the staff found out I was a vegetarian, they brought me up my own individual breakfast which was so kind of them. So many of our guests commented on how perfect the day was. Many said they had never been to a wedding like ours which ran like clockwork.

Everything was thought of and everybody was catered for. Soughton Hall deserves to be not only one of the top wedding venues in Wales but internationally renowned too. Everything about this venue is absolutely out of this world. Soughton Hall is a truly special venue in itself but truly what sets it apart from others is the attention to detail and the professionalism of all its staff.

The customer service all of us received on our wedding day was absolutely incredible. From the greeting of our guests, to the canapes and welcome drinks, the amazing wedding breakfast served to the evening bbq and reception, everything was exceptional. Staff introduced themselves to guests who had specific allergies, Stephen was present throughout the whole day and the wedding coordinator Rachel was always there to guide us through every part of the wedding planning process and the wedding day itself.

Many of our guests identified a member of staff with short blonde hair (sorry we can't remember her name) for going above and beyond and Esther was amazing too. All the staff; from the servers to the evening bar staff were so friendly and welcoming to all our guests. Some of them were there to say goodnight at midnight and back to look after us at breakfast the following day.

All the staff were so hard working and nothing was ever too much trouble for any of them. From the bottom of our hearts thank you to all the staff at Soughton Hall for making our wedding day, the happiest day of our lives. Please contact us if you ever have any Christmas/Valentine's day dinners, stays available at the lodge, we would love the opportunity to visit Soughton Hall again. It will forever be the most special place to us both.

Perfect for a wedding. A lovely building with several small lounges where those family groups can congregate and catch-up. The wedding I went to (July) had the ceremony in the garden with a string quartet near the fountain - wonderful. The meal was in the marquee as was the evening celebration and buffet. The food was delicious. Towards the end of the evening it got a little chilly but the heating system was more than a match for that.
