We have many cafes, restaurants, pubs and takeaways serving a wide variety of dishes within a two minute walking distance from the hotel. So, whatever you're hungry for, there's sure to be something tasty just around the corner. If you would like breakfast, reception can pre-book you a delicious meal from our neighbouring cafe, Painters.
The Holtwhites Hotel offers a range of facilities to all of our guests to help them feel more at home during their travels. And if we're not able to provide you with what you need, our friendly staff will be more than happy to help you find it. Free car park (limited spaces - please note that belongings are left in car at owner's risk).

Creaky floors, little to no sound insulation, the shower rail was left on the bed by room service when I arrived, breakfast was cheaper if you bought it separately than with the room (from a breakfast cafe across the road rather than in the hotel itself), and dirty bedding. They are busy renovating but would not recommend as it is now. Parking was very useful though

I booked 7x rooms for my wedding guests to stay in 2 weekends ago. Upon checking in NONE of the rooms had been booked despite 2 confirmation emails being sent. Additionally reception called me 6x on my wedding day(during the wedding reception itself) even though I confirmed (as mentioned earlier) that each guest was to pay individually for their room PLUS the room type guests were to be allocated. Additionally my security deposit is yet to be refunded 11days since checking out.
I've tried to call multiple times however the call keeps dialing out. Despite this the room itself was clean and tidy, I cannot fault the hotel itself there however the customer service was appauling.
