The Doubletree was in a good location, close to Circle Line, Victoria Line, bus stops, and Coach stations where a lot of tours originated. Our guest room was quiet and comfortable. We checked in on a Friday. The receptionist did not tell us about breakfasts. When asked, she said it would start at 6:30. We went there the next morning, and was told on weekends, it actually won't start until 7 am. And the left side of the lobby smelled, since it was close to restrooms.

Not worthy of the doubletree brand. Don't get the afternoon tea. Stayed there 3 nights and each night brought a new adventure. First I discovered the air was out in the room and the window unable to open. Had the receptionist and maintenance come up to show the dumb American "how it's done" and then they moved us to a new room. Each room has lackluster maintenance and miserable climate control.
The final night the housekeeping replaced towels and shorted us a few, asked for new towels and were brought wash rags/washcloths. Took another 10 minutes for new towels. Staff were nice enough, though. Could tell this was an issue with management and training. The hotel is in a somewhat central location with easy access to the subway, but homeless are everywhere in the area. Kinda dirty and dingy. We will not be back.

We booked a night here as we were going to the theatre nearby (Hamilton). We also requested an upgrade on an offer emailed to us a few days prior to our stay, to a junior suite for an extra 55. Arriving at the hotel we were given the keycards to our room and headed up only to find we couldn't get in! Staff quickly assisted and found there was an issue with the keycard reader.
At first they tried to fix it - and kept us supplied in free drinks in the bar while we waited - but eventually they offered us the original price of our standard double room, but upgraded us to a premium king room at no extra charge, which we accepted. In the end we got to our room about an hour after we arrived, but we felt very well looked after and the staff kept us informed at all times.
The room also had a lovely view of the London skyline. The king premium room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. In the morning, when we used the shower, we found that the rainfall shower was not working properly (think it needed a good descale as water came out of about five nozzles and at random directions, including straight in my face!) but the "normal" shower was working fine.
We reported the issue when we checked out so hopefully they will sort it. The other small frustration was that there was a breakfast order hanger in our room when we got there so we filled that in and hung it on our outside doorknob in the evening, looking forward to a chilled breakfast in our room the next morning. Unfortunately - and we're not sure why - no one came to collect it so rather than having a leisurely breakfast in our room, we had to go down to breakfast in a bit of a rush! Thankfully we didn't have to wait too long to be seated, and the buffet-style cooked breakfast was delicious and hot.
Despite the small niggles we had a really pleasant stay. The staff were all really lovely and did everything they could to assist us. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was super-convenient. It was also surprisingly quiet! We'd definitely come back.

Very conveniently placed for Victoria and surrounding areas although not the most picturesque position and view. I've visited many times and indeed this is my "go to" hotel when I need to stay here. Always clean, staff have always been very helpful and the breakfast is good. However the last time I stayed the sign said breakfast opened at 6.30 and at 6.45 it was still not ready. Having said that this are difficult signs and I could have missed some other notification.

This is a nice hotel - great location for Victoria station and especially great for us, as we were seeing Hamilton at the nearby Victoria Palace Theatre. The room is spacious and tidy, and everything was in good order. The bed was pretty firm and the pillows very soft - this didn't work for us, but if it's your preferred firmness then you'll love it. The staff were lovely on check in and check out - we didn't have food or drink on the premises so can't comment on that. Good value for London - we'd happily return.

Good location. Friendly welcoming staff from the reception, room service to restaurant. Breakfast selection was of a good quality. Clean room/ communal areas and well decorated. The bedroom a/c was a little noisy and the fridge in the bedroom was broken. However, everything else was superb. I appreciated the very firm bed for a good night's rest.oh, and of course the complimentary warm cookie.
