Stuck very much in the 80s. We ate in the restaurant and the food was barely edible. Our meal was marred by a table of rowdy uppity locals who also looked like they'd walked out of the 80s but didn't realise quite how cringe inducing they were. If split ends, purple eye makeup and back combed bobs were in they'd have been bang on trend. The rooms are grossly over priced.

I recently looked at a four night stay but discovered that the DoubleTree by Hilton, which is 10 mins away, was the same price and the rooms are beautiful with River views and private balconies and gardens. In my experience when a hotel has ridiculously over priced rooms which fall far below even average quality, it's because the business is in its death throes. The Hotel desperately needs updating and it wouldn't take a lot to do it.

Stayed for four nights in November. Accommodation and hotel great. Evening meals weren't as good as I was lead to believe from reviews. Basic pub food, sort of ok. Staff great.

The owner of the hotel is nice and hospitality. The room is a bit small but with good size of shower room. Overall is clean and you can enjoy your stay in here. It's a bit far from city center, but acceptable distance to walk (about 20-30 mins)
